At this time there is almost all technical data required to talk about AMD’s next Dual-GPU graphics card.

The naming scheme for HD 6900 series cards brought some changes to card positioning. Follow it, the next flagship targeted at Q2 2012 should carry the name of AMD Radeon HD 7990 after successful launch of Radeon HD 6990 – current AMD’s flagship. There is no secret that Radeon HD 7000 line-up will use 28nm process technology manufactured chips, compared to 40nm chips used for latest Radeon HD 6000 products.

I want to know about the 7890 or 7970, whichever single GPU they have.

I couldn't care less for raw performance numbers these days. What i do care is what will they offer as extra. They nailed the MLAA beautifully. It's probably the best thing AMD (or ATI) ever delivered to the end user. I just keep it enabled at all times along with 16x AF and it's just awesome. Super fast and no jaggies regardless of the game. Tessellation and loads of other stuff are just gimmicks that we might see in 5 years as something normal in games. But MLAA works in every game right now, at this very moment. I don't have to wait for game developers to use it. It just works. Similar as Adaptive AA. I hope they'll bring us something that works in a similar way to enhance the visual experience regardless of the game used. Not sure what that might be but i guess there is still room for such goodies.

Man! to early to speculated about the 7000 series cards , lets just wait till september/october time & then well talk...;)

all of that is fake and worthless

less break it down

AMD / ATI has never used a memory bus width thats not a power of ^2 aka 32 64 128 256 512 etc thus the 384bit bus is a lie, 6400 stream processors, also a lie, as they dont use perfect numbers due to there 4+1 setup basically the way the specs are setup above makes no sense and it dosent add up. thus the article above and the info are nothing more then filler used to gather Hits,

Its not longer a 4-1 shader setup... where were you recently

5+1 is the old design

4+1 is the new design

aka 4+1 = 4D

5+1 = 5D

at least from what i remember

5+1 is 5 shaders 4 simple 1 complex and 1 branch unit

4+1 is 4 mid 1 branch with 3 of the 4 being used together to act like a complex shader when needed, or something to that effect im sick with the flu so my memory is fuzzy

the +1 never really gets counted as its just a branch unit but its included in the shader design

thus im still right and your the one under a rock

ouch.

makes me want to listen to some of this

specs seem like complete fud, just something to get hits on their site. the 6990 specs arent even right, or at least not stated correctly in terms of what is per GPU.

hhey wtf... the 6990 series is just out... u guys are running to fast.... we all have to wait! ;)

i just upgraded to GTX 280 LOL!

sorry m8, I think these specs are BS. the 69XX cards were not double the performance of the 58XX/59XX cards therefore imho it is probably going to stay on the course it has been on, yes before the 69XX/68XX cards amd/ati's new gen cards were always double performance compared to its previous gen. there was a huge article about this soon after the new cards were released.

The specifications seem somewhat realistic, but anybody could just make this up.

Pure speculation, nothing more.
Feel free to discuss if you want, but keep it civil.

Lol your gay hahaha

video is catchy lol :toast:

lol im not gay, i was extremely stoned at the moment and that's what popped in my head after reading crazy's comment. He burned him..anyways Blood Hound Gang is an funny ass group, listen to some of their songs

and I was watching MTV's Wild Boyz with Steve-o and Chris Pontious the Russian Episode with Jonny Knoxville was fucking hilarious --that didn't help with my random comment when i made the comment

I recall the old design being referred to as 4+1 (4 simple + 1 complex)

The branch unit isn't included in the count.

i was still right i just counted it the wrong way. still i feel alot better today, finally got over the flu and yea i screwed up still i had the sp counts right. so win win for me

Regarding these specs though, my card doesn't have "steam" processing units.

Not sure about anyone else <_<

yea gotta love typos hahah, but still looking at the specs listed there so full of shit i have to laugh, nothing against alexburi but the original article writer is so full of shit.

How are they going to get double (?) the specs with a DECREASE in power consumed?

That would have to be one efficient card.
