System Requirements for Metro: Exodus Outed; Denuvo Protection Included

Historically, AMD chews through Metro easier. It's a very graphically intensive game that's actually polished. AMD accels in that area. But, being nvidia bribed, it's suspicious lol. Good async support easily tips the balance (idk if it's included though).

Yeah I suspected that maybe AMD just has the compute advantage, but including the 2070 makes it seem like this is just wrong. I don't think the 2070 would have any compute advantage compared to the 1080 because they are pretty much tied in all the benchmarks. I won't be buying it anyway as I have been sitting on the old Metro games AND their remakes for years and have barely touched them.

this game is going to get cracked eventually... Also, I doubt circumventing/bypassing it would make any difference. I rather stick to High settings than maxed out considering this title may tank the fps with RT enabled. Again, gonna take some salt until 4A starts releasing optimization patch to improve overall performance with DXR running.

So do i finnally have a game that will bring my old cpu down and give me a reason to upgrade. Far cry 5 and bf v failed to do rhat last year. So is metro exodus the game that will force me to upgrade. Maybe, i am gonna get the game. I played metro 2033 and last light back then and enjoyed it.

Why did they list a 1080 ti instead of a 1080 for 1440p 60 fps when the 2070 and Vega 64 are right at 1080 level performance? I guess we'll have to wait for the benchmarks, but I have a hard time believing the 1440p results are going to be more than 10% different between the 2070, V64, and 1080, and the 1080 ti is going to be off with the 2080, in between that cluster and the 2080 ti.

Cards with higher memory bandwidth tend to perform better with higher resolution. This has been the reason AMD cards (particularly R9s, Furys and Vegas) have improved performance against their Nvidia's counter parts as you move up with the resolution. Turing cards have a much faster memory comparing to Pascal, and while the RTX 2070 is 8-12% faster than GTX 1080 in 1080p, the gap increases to 18-20% in 1440p and 4k, at least as per Techpowerup own numbers.

And then, there are some titles that do benefit from increase memory bandwidth, these titles do favor AMD cards for sure. And the fact that they suggest a VEGA 64 falls into the same ballpark with an RTX 2070, which otherwise is very slightly behind GTX 1080, confirms all of the above.

I always take gameplay and story over graphics any day.
Any reviews yet out there?

If all of you just had perfectly normal 32 core chips you wouldn't have to worry about things like denuvo.

I have the 4790K and will upgrade to 9900K. I would like to get a Threadripper, but because of a certain OS I have to use Intel CPUs.

well wait for game of the year edition then, with all updates and patches and DLC.:p:p
