If you guys (staff of tpu) make a private benching section, is it possible I could participate? @ir_cow @freeagent

Same here, in fact I've already advised another team before to get them started from scratch so they could compete, that was EHW's team since basically none of them had any bot experience to refer to.
After that I "Turned them loose" and they've done well enough.

Did that as a favor to a guy on their team I've known well (Pioneerisloud, or Pio for short) for a long time now.

Apparently their forum software is confused about whether or not I have a forum account.
Discord? How young do you think I am? I would rather die.
Any other ideas?

Their damn contact form is broken too. Are they serious?

It seems their hwbot forum email server is just simply broken and makes it impossible to create, verify, or recover accounts.

@ty_ger Unfortunately discord right now is about the most reliable way to contact them.
Leeg is the one that helped me get my stuff sorted so I could login again after the big change they did about a year ago that had me hanging.

You should take the site over. Enterprise is giving the domain away free, but you'll have to cover the costs for a few months till contracts end.

I'd do it, but don't have the time to invest fixing the issues, recruiting a reviewer or two and making the site profitable. Thats the hard part.

Taking all ideas and inputs. I like that video neuro posted above, so that's probably going in.

Which subforum should we place it, benchmarking? Keep it here in clubs?

My account is not really messed up. I don't think I ever made a forum account. The thing that is messed up is their software.

Maybe I will try more after the new year. I have tried multiple times over the past months, but nothing they officially provide works, and figuring out how to use their unofficial discord (not mentioned anywhere in their support documents) is not something that I have time for.

You mean YOU should take it over , I don't have financial means for running a site like that.
I've got the time (Retired) but all else I don't have to run such a place.

Did you actually watch the whole video? Good on you if you did. It's decent, but I should have made it clear for the first section about 3dmark to make sure you have GPU -Z and CPU-Z CPU and RAM tabs up before submitting. I guess its probably obvious because I have them up.

Then after that make another post and maybe put in meet up information for any benching gatherings or anything.

I have a family of 5 and 2 German Shepards to take care of. Its just not feasible really. I wouldn't be able to support it financially if it's not sustained profitable, sad to say. That is the only reason to have something like that.

That's why our team has worked so well all these years. We are not relying on generated income, we just have fun and bench in our leasure time. The way it should be.
