1400$ is a great price for 6900XT Red Devil. :D
Currently they cost about 300 more than that here in Germany.

Fury X was nice at that time. I sold it for good price when Vega 64 came.

I was satisfied actually with my 6800XT which I had water-cooled and it was Oc monster running at 2750MHz@1020mV but unfortunately it got damaged with ESD issue and I got money back for that and then I went for 6900XTU.
I'm here in Germany as well; however, I got it back in February from Computer Universe before everything skyrocketed... But I don't pay VAT either.

Ok, so tried the RiftBreaker Demo, I am rather positively impressed, at 3440x1440 native vs FSR Ultra, the fine details are almost all there, the difference I can perceive is the tone of the image, the FSR-ed image is a very tiny bit softer overall, but you sort of have to look closely to see the difference. I also perceive the static image as a bit better than an image in motion in this game. Performance mode is crap, very smeary, but double the FPS
I tried the demo also.
Yes the FSR Ultra does not show me also any image quality loss.
I have to say though the game is no challenge for my setup with 2K 165Hz monitor and the heavily Oced 6900XT.
It runs at 165FPS almost all the time with Vsync enable even without the FSR. :D

I don't know why I'm on Time Spy Extreme. Should have fiddled with Fire Strike instead. LOL.
I think I can still push it further. It's 36 degrees Celsius now in Manila. I think I should haul the PC to the bedroom where's there's AC. :D

@turbogear How are you liking your 6900XTU? If you don't mind my asking, what was the MSRP in your country for the card? Were you able to get it for around MSRP? I am considering getting a Liquid Devil because my local Microcenter has a few of them in stock. I am still debating between the 6800XT, 6900XT, or the 6900XTU. I am hoping that I will not need to upgrade my GPU again for a good while after this.

I was reading that the Liquid Devil 6900XTU was MSRP for 2500 USD.

Well I don't know the MSRP for the card, but it cost me 2199€ back in April.
Now these are selling even more expensive for about 2500€. :(

plot twist, you accidently went into a time portal and arrived back to our present time with a hyper next gen graphics card, 5ghz on air is the normal from that timeline. well done! time to buy a 360hz monitor!

lol its clearly a bug. no need to worry about it. if it was hitting 5ghz actual it would have fried or shut down your PC. so yeah its just a bug. why not use GPUZ to monitor it instead of HWinfo then compare.

very odd indeed! hmm. maybe a clean factory reset of latest driver or if your already on the latest driver, maybe roll back to the previous WHQL driver and re-test?

I forgot to add, FSR is sooo much better than the Fidelity FX resolution modifier or the Radeon Boost thing, congrats AMD :)
DF was so negative, some had even speculated that DF's in nVidia's pocket with its main focus on image quality. I think all of us knew that a software based res upscaler would not match the RTX's hardware + software DLSS implementation. DF failed to highlight that FSR can be used on older cards from both AMD and nVidia, espcially the still very capable GTX 1000 and GTX 900 series (which can leverage FSR) and just focused on image quality (I understand that, but to highlight all the negatives without talking about the one great positive is a fail to me).

I had fun with Godfall at 4K with FSR set to 'Quality' preset, ingame setting at EPIC and the game ran between 40fps to 60fps and was just fine. This was with my Leadtek GTX 1080 Hurricane OC! nVidia has totally forgotten about the Pascal and 2nd gen Maxwell cards, not even bothering to help uplift their performance and focusing all their efforts on their secksay RTX line. BTW, strangely enough, I tried Godfall with FSR on my Vega 64 and it CTD'ed, what the heck happened?!

Edit - Didn't bother with FSR on my main rig as it can do Godfall at EPIC preset + RT and still get ~100fps at 3840x1080. I'm thinking of getting RE Village, anyone tried it with their RX 6000 cards yet?

That is really strange behavior. I am not sure how many could at all hit 5GHz.
Is your memory settings at default?
Maybe try with DDU cleanly removing the drivers and installing them again.

I just saw this, I'd noticed this on my card as well, using GPUZ sensors with max reading, I'd put it to GPUZ reading it wrong.....I didn't know HWinfo is showing similar max reading

That is weird. My 6900xt red devil shows correct values in the HWinfo and AMD driver. Did you try reinstalling the driver and the HWinfo?

I just saw this, I'd noticed this on my card as well, using GPUZ sensors with max reading, I'd put it to GPUZ reading it wrong.....I didn't know HWinfo is showing similar max reading
That is interesting.
I am quite sure I did not see it on 6800XT as there I was Ocing VRAM and monitored it closely.

I need to check if I can also see something like this on my 6900XTU Liquid Devil Ultimate.
I have not monitored VRAM closely in the last times on 6900XTU as I am not Ocing the memory.
As a matter of fact, my 6900XTU does not OC on VRAM at all not even 50MHz.

Maybe I need to do Buildzoid style of Hardware mode to allow the memory to OC.
On the second thought, no no.... I am not brave enough to mode super expensive card.

The stratospheric Ghz in memory is most likely due some bug or driver (for me 21.6.1, no whql version), saw this yesterday evening in Hwinfo64, 5.something ghz in memory, lol-ed at it, then proceeded to DDU and installed newest driver, have not seen these weird readings again, 2.1 Ghz max as set in wattman.

Would be fun though if AMD put some 5ghz mem chips and locked them to 2 just to mess with us :D

I did DDU and it had no impact it still reports it it wrong, im glad i am not alone.
It spikes only when the clocks increase from non idle state as it drops from idle to maximum memory clock but then spikes above 2 ghz even towards 12 ghz or 13 ghz

I think GPUZ 2.40.0 is still reading mem clock wrongly (or less wrongly compared to previous version), GPU clock looks okay, but the massive VRAM usage for RE Village is a bit of a shocker for me, >14GB is a tad much, isn't it? Or, is GPUZ reading that wrongly as well...this is after an hour of RE Village. Do note the massive amount of VRAM used, likewise for screenshot below (can't recall what game I'd been playing though).

Below is a GPUZ 2.38.0 screenshot of my RX 6900 XT, do note the ridiculous mem clock speed, but still not as bad as Kabouter Plop's mem spikes though.
