Thanks, it's with stock cooler and paste, I am just hesitant to do anything because this only happens with that app. There is still a 30 degree delta (between gpu 'temp' and hotspot) in timespy and timespy extreme but max hotspot temp doesn't exceed 95Is that with the stock cooler and paste? That's completely unacceptable, both in terms of the avg/hotspot delta (40°C delta is way too much) and in absolute temperatures (that hotspot temp is reaching its throttle point).
If it's stock, I would RMA the card - that isn't acceptable stock operations, and speaks to either a badly designed cooler or poor QC. If not, then yes, definitely repaste, but also check thermal pad thicknesses - excessive pad thickness can cause poor contact.
