The RX 6000 series Owners' Club

415w on an AMD card. :D

It is running at 2750MHz@1175mV 415W Core Power and 400A TDC. So in games frequency around 2700MHz.
I was unable to get it until now stable in 3DMARK benchmarks higher than that.
In Heavon I can run it at 2850MHz@1185mV for hours without crash but that setting is not really stable in heavy stress tests like Time Spy.
It could work in games but I don't like to run a setting that is not 100% stable in stress tests. :p
I did not try with higher than 415W Core power. Maybe that could make it stable at 2850MHz but I don't like to push it to it's power limits.
That's still a nice OC. I haven't tried to push my card to the limits but I bet it won't hit stable 2750Mhz or the chances are very slim.
Yesterday I did some gaming and tests and I seen the HotSpot around 100deg C. I'm thinking about maybe getting stronger case fans and add one more. That should get the hot air faster and get a fresh air in the case. I'm sure it won't drastically change the temps but it will improve them for sure.
BTW. How much did the card cost in Germany?
I'm looking at the prices in Norway and it doesn't look good. I would have to pay over $3k for the Ultimate card or the Toxic. That's like double what I payed for Red Devil 6900Xt I got.

I'm sure you'll get very far once you put that underwater.

Been thinking about it and maybe I will at some point. Although, I'm thinking if i go liquid, will make a difference in performance noticeable. It will be faster for sure but is it worth it? My concern is to run the card cooler to be honest and if I go liquid that will be my goal.

I had temperatures on hotspot going to 92°C on my 6900XTU Liquid Devil Ultimate before.
I changed from standard paste to Liquid Metal and now hotspot temperatures in games max at 72°C and in stress tests maximum 78°C at 2750MHz@1175mV OC. :D
At default setting actually temperatures are much lower.

I paid 2199€ for it back in April.
It cost me actually 1297€ as I got the money back for my 6800XT. :D
Taking that into account it was not a bad deal as regular 6900XT Red Devil currently cost starting 1700€ in Germany.

415w on an AMD card. :D
Yes but that is only consumed in stress tests. :D
The headroom for this card is 525W with 3xPCIe slots.

In games it actually consumes between 320W-350W at 2750MHz OC.

It will definitely be fun, regardless of whether you'd notice real world performance! :D

415w is unacceptable, then. You need to push it further! :D

On the other hand it is not easy to get a block for 6900XT Red Devil.
@ratirt owns this card as far as I know.

Only Alphacool seems to offer one at the moment.
I know a few persons in Igoreslab forum that have been waiting for months for Alphacool to deliver their order.
Alphacool keeps shifting their delivery date. :shadedshu:

People were saying that they got info from EK support that they will release a block for 6900XT Red Devil in the near future.
Maybe that will come faster than Alphacool pre-orders.

I bought card from AMD knowning i would be certain to get a block, not mention i would be paying lot more from other vendors due web shops being scalpers them self.

You know in current situation where new GPU would cost you a Kidney, I don't dare to push it further.

Getting card from AMD is not easy.
I tried two times after my 6800XT was damaged.

You need reaction time faster than shooter games otherwise these are gone even before you complete the order.

Both times I was on their site in the right time as I was tipped off by a person in which time window AMD will have card on their site and both times it was already sold while I was trying to pay with PayPal.

The Digital River website was extremely slow during that time as it seems some bots are in work in the background. :(
Many of these cards in Germany land on eBay for scalper prices.

My 6800XT was also reference card which was water cooled with EK.
That reminds me that I need to sell my EK Quantum Vector block on eBay as I don't need it anymore.:D

I was one of the early buyers of the Alphacool water block for the 6800 XT Nitro+. I also had to wait in line. Now, the blocks are available from different manufacturers. It's just a matter of time. But if you're impatient like me, you'd want to be one of the first to get one. :D

I don't need one but I feel pity for the guys who has been waiting for almost 3 months for delivery of their pre-order. :p

 After 10+ years of Steam I just got the first hardware survey, ofc I participated
Now steam can not claim anymore that nobody has the 6000 AMD gpuz :D:D:D

Steam used to be my platform in the past and I own more than 150 games there. :D
The last few years I have very rarely had a game through them as many of the games I played did not come from start at Steam anymore.

For example all Battlefield games are from Origen and all Far Cry from Uplay and some at Epic like Borderland 3.
All the older Borderland games I have them all at Steam.

I should log in from time to time just in case I get HW survey to be maybe first owner of 6900XT at Steam.

Anyone else notice Microcenter is starting to keep RX 6000 cards in-stock? In store purchase only but look- https://www.microcenter.com/search/...by=match&N=4294966937+4294816285&myStore=true
That is interesting, even if they are still double of what they should be, but that is a good sign for the market starting to get back slowly, hopefully they will catch dust on shelves at these prices, and then start to be lowered incrementally.

5 in stock, what magic is that

XFX RX 6800XT MERC 319 AMD Radeon 16GB GDDR6 3xDP: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör

I am sooo glad people are not buying them at these prices, its daylight robbery :kookoo:

The seller is Amazon USA. :kookoo:
Amazon has become scalpers themselves. :nutkick:

Asking the price of 6900XTU Liquid Devil Ultimate for 6800XT is just crazy.

Now 4 are in stock so it means somebody already bought one at this crazy price as well. :fear:

Mindfactory has a 6800XT for 1399€.

There are multiple 6900XT which are cheaper than this on Mindfactory.

Seems that Mindfactory has a lot of 6000 series in stock, and even Nvidia series, 3600, 3060Ti and 3080Ti...ofc at scalper prices :kookoo:

It also seems that people started catching on that the shortage is coming to an end and are not paying scalper prices :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Again, I hope they rot on shelves until the prices go back to MSRP :nutkick:

A big FU to all scalpers :D

I have been observing Mindfactory as my 6900XTU also came from them.
Until now it is like that they have big drops during the week but then sold out really quickly.
They are the only shop where they always had supply of RDNA2 cards since January and if you compare their price to other German shops it is always cheapest.

It seems they have special deals with many of the brands.
Actually it looks like that they have exclusive rights like EPIC in games  to get all cards only for them as many of other German shops had barely ever any cards on stock except for Mindfactory.

It also seems like they then set the base price for German market as they have most of the cards. :wtf:

Yeah, it seems they have a lot more GPU's than other shops, and are cheaper than others.

One thing I still wonder, on the product page of the RX 6900 XT Red Devil it says over 770 pieces sold, I would make a rough estimation that the 6000 series sold a couple of ten thousand cards from the launch till today in the whole world, so how come the Steam Hardware survey shows 0 to this day ???

Both Nvidia and AMD had record GPU sales in Q4 last year, and even knowing that Nvidia's market share is 75%, that still would be a lot of GPU's sold by AMD since the launch of Navi 2.

According to Steam, they have around 20 million concurrent users per day, so lets say the AMD 6000 series sold 30000 GPU's (its not that much I would say), that would be 0.15%. Assuming that 1 out of 10 users received the steam hardware survey, and assuming that they correlate that to the number of polled people, its very very unlikely that the survey did not find any percentage of 6000 series GPUs, wtf, this is odd !?!?!

Yes that is weird indeed.

The prices are still off the charts but the availability is higher for the 6900XT's. There are several available for purchase.
The lowest price I found is $2300 for the 6900XT Gaming Trio. I think, the prices will not go down this year. If ever?

20mil concurrent means that 20mil people are logging on Steam at any moment, it doesn't mean 20mil is the total amount of Steam users (well unless people play games 24/7)
Steam has around 120mil active accounts or more atm, each GPU need to have 180K units sold worldwide to make it into Steam Survey (lowest is 0.15%). 6700XT might make it into Steam Survey in the next few months.

So according to you, Nvidia sold more than 180.000 of 3090's, I find that hard to believe :) ... but then people paid 1800+ EUR on 6800 XT's, so everything is possible, this "shortage" made everyone act foolish

That, or miners logging into Steam with their mining rigs :D

Nvidia earned 2.76bil in Q1 2021 selling GPUs alone, if their average selling price for all Ampere GPU (3060, 3060tie, 3070, etc...) is 700usd (which is quite unlikely already because Nvidia sell chips to AIBs), that would mean 3.94mil chips were sold in 3 months or 1.3mil chips in 1 month
Yes there is no doubt Nvidia sold over 400K of 3090 since Sep2020

No doubt, none, except that if you are not Leather Man you can not make those statements as absolute facts
