Well I guess she can have fun with other inmates for the next 15 months.

What a Div

You would be shocked how many people think over fatty, soggy bacon is acceptable. Bacon isn't like other foods that can be good even if it's just "close enough". It has to be just right.

I see people frying eggs in a inch of oil, disgusting. our pan is so good, you don't even need oil to fry eggs.

This too, though I lean towards half&half.
What do you mean by half&half? Are you saying when you pour your boiled water into a mug/cup, your ratio to make tea is 50% water and then 50% milk? o_O

Blasphemy!

I'm not picky with my food, but I like it done properly. With eggs, that means a tiny bit of butter for me. Or a drop of olive oil.

I am curious, why are they not allowed to roam free? What do they do with them?

edit: an article says they used to be native to these lands, well anyways I hope they put them in the wild somewhere they belong at least

The previous two they caught seemed quite tame (said the zoological society.) That means they're ill-equipped to be let free. Like most species on this small island, they were hunted to exctinction in the centuries after the Romans got here. Not much else survived past the middle ages, though scholars believe wolves lasted until the 18th century.

Don't start on it. I'm already salivating. :D

I would only drive. But only a Mustang. The rental and the plane tickets would be the bulk of my costs. It's not cheap to fly overseas, unfortunately. :(

Not to mention, I'd have to take an extended break from work which would probably go unpaid. The maximum vacation time they allow in one go is 2 weeks which is nowhere near enough to tour a whole continent.
We have been on 2 road trips in the US, the first in 2014 and that was in a Mustang Convertible but it was too hot in June, the V8 overheated going through the Mojave Desert (mad temps up to 117F) so had to keep the aircon off for spells.

On that trip we went Vegas - Yosemite - San Francisco - LA - San Diego - Grand Canyon - Vegas. That was just a 2 weeker.

that sounds like a really good trip if one was trying to contrast the UK environment in every way possible, well done ^^

I hope to see the Grand Canyon someday, but I will probably skip the rest of that. I have a hardback book with pictures, details of flora/fauna of every national park in the USA. My dream is to someday own a little camper van and go do every single national park. I might be able to pull it off in my retirement 25-30 years from now.

That sounds like an awesome trip! The car overheating is just a little extra adventure. :)

I'd also love to do a cross-UK road trip one day, all the way from Penzance to Thurso, or the other way around. It would be a fair bit cheaper than the US. Wouldn't need an extended holiday, either, it easily fits 2 weeks, probably even 1.

I did all of Cornwall in 2022, honestly the best trip of my life. Got really lucky, didn't rain but once the entire time. I can def see why the Cornish fly their own flag, it's a place to be very proud of indeed.

Cream. It's a North America thing. And it's wonderful! Coffee, Tea, Apple Cider, etc...
Cream with coffee, awesome! Cream with tea, why not. Cream with apple cider... Wait, what? :wtf:

Try it sometime.
I'm scared. :D

Although I was also scared before trying beer with banana juice which turned out to be awesome (it's some kind of German thing). I think I'll try it over the weekend. :)

Quick tip, make sure it's an Apple Cider with real sugar. The sugar free type when mixed with cream just goes nasty.. Ask me how I know.. Also, see above edit..

I just happened to have some cream at home, and also some Thatchers Haze (it's a bit less acidic than regular Thatchers, I love it), so I had a go.

Well... it won't become my favourite thing in the world, but it's not bad. :) The missus hated it, though. :D
