This PSU is fine?

This is the PSU the OP talked about, or one very close to it. It's $55. But on that same page you can click on the 620w model and it's $52, both with free shipping? Which one would be the smarter buy?
The main problem about the PSU between 520w and 620w, is that im not from the United States and here this kind of products cost a lot more, the 520w Seasonic cost me $2500 (Argentine Pesos) or 64 dollars and the 620w is being selled for $4800 or 123 dollars.

They are hit and miss on quality.
My experience has been more consistent. Have only ever had one go bad and in the last 5 years I've purchased hundreds of them. To each their own though.
So that is true, but to what end?
Lots of headroom and solid stability is the main goal of the school of thought I'm suggesting. That's all, just playing it safe.

Ah, I see your problem. Still, try to shop around and find the best you can get for your budget.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I'm not talking about a personal anecdote, but that Rosewill reviewed bad and were known to be subpar PSUs. This was before the Capstone line and others (like the ARC) came out over the past couple of years which have changed things, at the minimum, on those lines. But yeah, I can't say it was up there with Topower, lol, but they were on the laughable side.

That is as safe as they come... too much meat left on the bone for me. To each their own! :)

Yeah, Rosewill used to be known for low level, budget supplies with performances to match. They were "adequate" for budget conscious office workers doing minimal demanding tasks on their systems (email, Word docs, simple spreadsheets). But in recent years "some" of their supplies have earned top-shelf status capable of supporting the most demanding tasks. Just another example of where you need to do your homework because you cannot just go by the brand's logo on the product. You have to research specific models.

I think im going to change the psu for the Seasonic 520w.
But can i ask something? I just saw a EVGA 600w 80+bronze psu for a good price. I shoudl go for it or the seasonic 520w is a better choice?
This is the evga psu i saw

I should add that the EVGA PSU cost something like 5 dollars more than the 520w seasonic

Whichever is the cheapest... honestly... You will not notice a difference. Both are solid (the seasonic is 'better') PSUs.

Don't make this as complicated as we did... hahaha. 58 posts on a PSU question, LOL!

I have no experience with evga but from other users here, they work fine, i believe their oem is either superflower or Seasonic anyway lol, so you cant go wrong with either, personally its good to have legroom anyway but that is just me.

Its a Zotac GTX 970 dual fan, its just come with normal clock and 6+6 pin (model number: ZT-90101-10P)
The zotac page says that the GTX 970 consump 145w.
So, the seasonic 520w should be fine? I expect that with this psu i dont gonna have more problems

Doesn't really matter. If it's Ok w/ 200, it will be fine with 145

So, im looking for a new PSU and i dont have a lot of money right now. I found this PSU for a really good price:
SEASONIC 520W S12II 80+Bronze

This PSU is fine with my sistem?

This is the exact same PSU that I have and it makes some problems for owners after some time.
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/psu-clicking-noise-its-not-the-fan-or-coil-whine.250088

I've found the faulty components though and by replacing some resistors it's working well now.

The unit I have doesn't exhibit that behavior and it is in a 754 rig.
Maybe because it's not under heavy load feeding your 754 rig.
Anyway there's a problem with their APFC and PWM controller circuit.

Wrong older tech draws more due to process size etc.

For a price range of $75-$90 you can get a seasonic focus+ 750. They are really good quality. Unless you're running 2 video cards 650w is plenty.

However if your selection is limited, the MK12 is a good power supply

I should add the price of the Seasonic M12II 750w 80+, its going to cost me $4000 Pesos Argentinos (or $100usd dollars)
Its the cheapest seller here in my country. The seasonic Focus Plus 650w is being selled at 5500 Pesos Argentinos OR 137 dollars

You'll be good with the Seasonic M12II. Get it and call it good for a few years. Make sure you have a quality surge suppressor though.

Rosewill. They are hit and miss on quality... with only recently (last couple of years) being a hit on SOME models (the ARC is OK).

Their Fortress line was pretty good to me in the mining days, especially for an ATNG OEM design, but otherwise pretty much spot on.
