TPU's Discord Server!

@W1zzard there is a ! NoNe#9564 on the TPU discord server that is unable to sign up for a account here on the forums.

I probably cant even name 10 countries, but i'm pretty sure i got australia onto that list once when i was spamming the GPU Databases looking for BIOS files and got my IP banned

These IP bans last only for a few minutes, when you do bad things on the site, like cause too many "not found" errors, or fail the "you're loading pages too quick" captcha .. but get refreshed and increased when you keep getting banned. Not related to the forum registration limits

Banned countries for forum registration are IN, PK, BD, PH, VN, UA, RU, ID, IR, all VPNs and all TOR exit nodes. This is for registration only, no bans for login or normal usage

... Not to drag this into politics, just merely curious, but there's no North Korea there?

Internet access is not generally available in North Korea. Only some high-level officials are allowed to access the global internet.
In most universities, a small number of strictly monitored computers are provided. Other citizens may get access only to the country's national intranet, called Kwangmyong.

And of course there is the North Korean hackers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazarus_Group

Yes, of course, I just thought it was weird that there were this group of... complicated countries included but not North Korea.

I don't care about country, religion, ethnicity, language, politics, or anything else. If a significant amount of spam shows up, I'll just block the whole country from registration. Again, not browsing, or login to existing accounts. Very unfortunate for all the good people living there. Many of those email me, and if they seem legit I'll offer a way to register.

This is done mostly for you, so you don't get exposed to spam, and for the mods, so they can do more important things than delete spam.

I just joined, but there is a rule that says the forum username and discord name need to match, I cannot do this as you guys disabled the ability to rename our username on the server.

Just depends on the time. There's only four of us looking at names and three for moderation, luckily for me that's all we've needed so far.

Anyone wanna take a look at someone named Techarch who just joined and started what I assume is spamming out friend requests considering I received on the minute he joined. His discord infobox seems to be advertisement for his youtube channel.
@Toothless if I recall was a Admin on there, yes?
