Did a test run of the cooler where I put the thermal compound, mounted it, tightened it up, and then removed it; I wanted to make sure that it would go down correctly. Worked well, reseated it and it's been solid.
it means i need to keep BOINC set to 40-50% usage 
....sucks for a PC that is ONLY crunching. ill have to see what i can scrounge up on payday ;
