I didn't read the entire thread on WCG forum so I don't know if the changed the deadline for jobs in progress, but I wouldn't be surprised if they missed that strong suggestion from members.I've just cancelled a load of my jobs because some hadn't started and that won't reach the server in time anyways, so its pointless (excuse the bad but nicely timed pun!!) as it's just going to sit there doing nothing, so I'll move over a few machines over to something else and see what they do like
I do wonder why they are taking it offline for so long and more importantly if it will ever come back online afterwards.....
Since the the Rosetta download problem seem to be a Android and Linux thing the issued jobs will last longer. I did a 777 in order to overwrite my hosts file on one system and switched to Windows on another. Both download fine but it hurts my eyes to see the points drop going from Linux to Windows. As far as I know I'm the only active Linux Rosetta contributor on our team so I will spare you from a rant about the trouble it gave me to get boinc-files.barkerlab.org to the correct IP
