Then there's the naivete of typical, coddled westerners who have no idea of life outside their countries as seen in post # 40 above. Few of us would have the courage to stand up to a tyrannical regime if we lived in countries like North Korea or Russia.

I didn't pivot. I only clarified my original position. I'm sure most of us would fight for our loved one's rights, but the question is would you fight for the rights of foreigners being oppressed by your country? The answer is clear from the apathy of most westerners' to the crimes of their own armed forces and allies. If you don't protest those, how can you expect ordinary Russians who live in a far more dangerous situation than you to do that?
