Just finished the Modern Warfare II Solo Campaign.
It's not really great, gameplay is ok, but so much scripts ... so restrictive ...
I mean, they have all the tools to make it better ...
It's COD ... it's like a FPS for beginner ( not always a bad thing )

In my memories the oldests CODs ( I mean the firts ones ) were a little bit more open, we were less taken by the hand ...
Is it just an idea ? I should re-do Call of Duty II to find out ...
And there was a FPS filled with explosion everywhere, destroying the Eiffel tower, was it a COD or a Battlefield, i don't remember :/

That's said, like a movie with more or less bad plot ( al quatala + drugs cartels + russians + american traitors ... it just misses naz*s, zombies, ETs and we're good ! ), I want to know where the story's going now !

Mods, my man, mods galore! Anyway, with this mod you can force fullscreen mode, among other things. The standard Fallout launcher does have the ability to tick off both Windowed as well as Borderless but on my rig that just doesn't work well. Now with this handy tool I can even set the horrible default FOV from 70 to whatever I like.

I don't play Fallout, but I just wanted to say: aren't modders amazing? Some of the things they come up with to improve the QOL of a game is amazing.

I'm giving Quake II a rest for a while and picked up with Dying Light 2 again which is much more colourful than its predecessor with the new health meter for when you're out in the dark.
That aspect really makes you get a move on and I really like the inventory system. I also picked up the Walking Dead DLC for a couple of dollars which adds Michone's katana, Negan's Lucile and long knife, as well as Rick's outfit.
I don't usually do DLCs but it was cheap and I really wanted the weapons. Pay to win? Why not if it means smashing zombie skulls in more effectively.

Finished Record of Lodoss War : Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth (Switch).
Basically, it's a clone of Castlevania : Symphony of the Night.
Very pleasant to play, a bit more oriented than SOTN (you cannot really get lost), the maps plays more or less like clasics levels.
Gameplay is top notch, you have many weapons (always equiped with bow and hand weapon), there is magic (not so useful), and and duality system fire / water like Ikaruga.
Loved the crisp and dark graphics, music is ... well ... there is music but nothing unforgetable ...
I suppose story make sense if you already know the Lodoss War lore, not my case, so it wasn't really clear, but you can do without
I'll say between 6 and 10 hours to complete the game, difficulty is right ...
I had great times with it, if you like SOTN, or Metroidvania (this one is a bit light : it's more direct, not too much secrets to find, no multiple endings), you can try it when it's on sale.

Fallout 4 with zombies (mod), all animals&mutants&robots&raiders are zombies. It can break the game but luckily you can set who, what, when & amount.

The only things that bugs me atm is the ridiculous long loading times from indoor to outdoor.

Been playing hearthstone again, I really like the mode that is similar to drafting in magic the gathering. Fun rng, mixed with you still have to be smart about your random picks, and its cheap entry fee compared to drafting in magic.

I like that they exist, but 99.99999999% of mods are not worth it. I've tried my hands at Fallout 4/Skyrim modding and it can be decent, but they have a tendency to be wonky plus if I don't play the game for say six months or a year but have the game on say Steam so it updates the save will be absolutely destroyed.

Graphics/UI mods are honestly not worth it IMO. Tried a bunch of Skyrim mods, and increased viewing distance is the only one I actually cared for, the rest are meh. You can get nice screenshots but that's it.

Rimworld mods mess too much with balance to be worth it. There are a lot of so called "must have" mods with stuff that "should be in the game", but increasing the effeciency of the colony (which is what most of them do) makes the game unbalanced. Many mods that add stuff just add stuff that aren't as well thought out as in the base game.

Most mods are essentially the game version of fan fiction, IMO.

The only QOL mods I've seen that are worth it are probably these ones, for Planescape: Torment. Even the Skyrim UI mod isn't all that great.

Last night I finished the Campaign in Exoprimal. If you are looking for a fun experience I can fully recommend this Game. It comes from Capcom but does not have a FPS lock.

Farthest Frontier. So far it's bigger version of Banished, which is really cool. It is strangely taxing on the GPU though, even when locked to 30fps.

It is also Crate Entertainments second game, the first one being Grim Dawn, so for that reason alone I'm excited.
