Allan Wake II is amazing. The inventiveness and storytelling is immersive. Of course, it looks great too and the combat is surprisingly fun and satisfying. The music throughout, particularly the Allan Wake musical is incredible. I never played the original Allan Wake but I won't now because it won't compare well.

MP looks like it gets messy quick if you take an every ship for itself piratical outlook that helps ensure survival.
With the amount of critical information packed into popup bars while you are in hectic situations. Messy is already preordained.
Made it through about 5 minutes of a laughing at the cluster on a 4 person stream. So much unintentional near ramming and confusion.

My brother and I experienced constant crashes (generally every 10-20 minutes) and a lot of pop-ins and stuttering when we played it, but that was almost a year ago when we gave up on it. We also had times that the game wouldn't connect and my brother and I had to do a couple of unofficial patches to fix issues we had with the game constantly crashing and connectivity issues.

This was one of the unofficial patches we had to do (my understanding is that it no longer works since the game has been patched/updated) : https://steamcommunity.com/app/1496790/discussions/0/3761101693152548197/
Since the game has been patched a few times since that unofficial patch was released, maybe the devs actually fixed the problem???

If it's running great for you, awesome. Maybe my brother and I will have to try it again.

Transcendental Far Cry 7 or BMG AC?

It's not as bad as the last 4 AC's. You can't really assassinate anyone but you can punch-yeet people. You also have to clear a lot of 'bases' which can get repetitive. And also some side quests are ..not great.. like the quick time 'memory' events (use wasd to follow a circle, and the mouse follow a different circle, do that 7 times ), the fruit picking is just annoying. That being said the sound is phenomenal, brushing the leaves, the flapping of bare feet against steel, the small critters, the directional audio. This all is superb in the Jungle.
Is it worth 70 buckos or 350 eddies like I payed for it? Mm..no but is it a bad game? Also no.

Still on BG3... first real steps into Baldur's Gate itself, holy shit. It still doesn't run fantastically, but Act 3 is all suspense and surprise, amazing.

Also I'm level 19 now And with Tactician Plus alongside, its definitely required level! D&D heaven, right here. Okay, spells stop at 6th level, but I do keep unlocking spell slots, and new spells, even when I keep multiclassing Bard on my Sorc. They share the effective caster level, so I have 2x level 6, and 1x level 7 thru 9 slots now No longer feeling super bad about missing that level 6 Disintegrate. Priceless.

Also figured out that Monk/Barbarian is in fact pretty bossy. You don't get the double unarmoured defence there, but Rage? Rage is awesome. 2 extra damage, but later you can also add aspects that give you even more movement speed or jump distance. I now have a monk that can dash and jump across an entire map in one turn, hit things, and come back, or move between various enemies (took Mobile feat... no more opportunity attacks if you hit something first!) to punch everyone in the face.

Let's take pause here to appreciate an actual car damage model that most recent games lack. Not just dents and scratched paint. You can lose everything.

Playing through Spiderman. I played it on PS4 pro when it came out and it scratched an itch to web sling the way nothing had since Spiderman 2 BITD did. Both games considerably elevated the experience of being Spidey compared to anything before them. Now having Miles Morales to compare to, it suffers a little. The mini games and parts where you play as Spiderman's normie friends suck IMO.

Don't have a 9th gen console so Spiderman 2 will have to wait until it's on PC.

I've been playing The Division on my ARC cards since I never played it before and wanted to see how ARC handles the game. It's alright so far.

I started a playthrough of Gotham Knights but then Starfield hit and I spent over 200hrs on that.

I'm partially through Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Need to finish the first then play Rise of TR before going back to Shadow. Again testing ARC is why my chronology is whacked.

Rethought choice between male and female character in AC Odyssey. So I hit new game and tried the other. Clearly this one was the choice game got developed around. As it turned out this lead to discovering a number of new things missed the first time through the opening stages. Was still used to Origins showing a marker or having NPC talking about some element worth exploring for.

In AC:Odyssey I did a +200hr playthrough as the brother. Most of the really pimp armor I equipped resulted in upskirt action. If I had known that going in I'd have pick the sister dammit.

For the past couple of weeks I've been playing Deathloop. I like the game, but some aspects of it make me a bit... confused.... Basically, the whole multiplayer part of it, and Juliana "mechanics" is a dud.
Otherwise - very nice and polished game. While everyone is calling it "a mix of Dishonored with [insert your title here]", for me it's just a rehash of Mooncrash, only now it's smaller, and you only have to think about a single character.
I'm on my achievement hunting run right now. Banging my head on the desk, trying to get "Quantum Solution"(the last one, and the hardest one), which for some reason either gets interrupted with Juliana invasion right in the middle of my 90-second time frame, or I get delayed on my route due to some unlucky circumstances. Not as easy as youtubers make it look. I think I already did at least 20 attempts.
But I'll get it eventually.
