What are you playing?

Buggy installation my hairy bum. I've never seen such a thing once. You're complaining about something few people care about. "Cloud saves" are not that useful to most players anywhere, and GOG players? Forget about it.

You can be a smart-alec all you want, doesn't change the fact that your problem is with ONE feature of ONE game.

Can't disagree with that, but you need to be sure the problem is not with your system/configuration before blaming an entire platform. I've got StarDew Valley on GOG. I'm going to give this a try and see what happens..

I've never been robbed, therefore people aren't robbed.

Cloud saves are HYPER useful, even for Gog players. See the Syncing files between computers thing. You may not find it useful, lots of people do.

What can I do to make sure Gog doesn't overwrite new files on one computer with old files from a different computer, without prompting? I started it on the desktop, it synced and launched, and that syncing meant it had now replaced the new file in the cload with the old file on the desktop. Then I checked the laptop, and Gog synced the laptop with the cloud, meaning it replaced the new file on the laptop with the old file in the cloud. Then I replaced the save file with the save.old file, and THEN the desktop asked which file I should use. So there is a prompt, but the first time it didn't appear, on either computers. It just synced.

Bugs happen. But Gog Galaxy has been the buggiest one for me, by a wide margin. Steam and Epic just works. Galaxy works now actually, but I'm very wary of it.

Steam annoys me with its always on top thing when it starts up.
Epic just flat out refuses to connect sometimes.

The 7800 xt can do Ray tracing at ultra. It's as good enough reason to play The Witcher 3 next gen finally.

Mods are difficult. I refuse to play without mods, but it's a mess.....maybe I haven't got it figured it out.

I think armpits and shoulders could use some more anti-aliasing...................look at those jaggies.

edit - terraria on journey mode first time ever...................it's interesting...................

Decided to restart Pokemon Platinum.
All to eventually take a royal beating by Cynthia.

I have a hard time staying focused, so I am playing Forza Motorsport, MSFS, CP2077, and 3DMark :D

And the year 2024. But Dishonored, still worth playing...

Started Elder Scrolls Online again. Stopped playing for a couple of years because Bethesda decided that my location was embargoed. A conclusion which, ironically, they've reached *after* said embargoes were lifted.

Honestly, I don't know why I bought or play this thing. I suck at MMOs; I keep losing at PVP battlegrounds, I can't be bothered learning the jargon and maths, I don't have friends who play those games, and I'm not social enough to make new ones who do or do the community/guilds thing. I basically just run from quest mark to quest mark, farming resources on the way. Should've just kept replaying Skyrim.

BG3 is a great Game and got it's deserved accolades. There is Game called Daemonhunters from the 40K universe that plays like Xcom and is fun. I did say BG3 though. If you want the 40K experience in a BG3 wrapping this is it. This is BG3 in a 40K universe.

How do you like gaming on a 4K TV? I'm getting a new apartment soon.....ish, and I'm looking at this brand called TCL. Their TV specs looks impressive to me, especially the two listed below:
144Hz VRR
Freesync Premium/Premium Pro

Other than the usual HDR10+/Dolby Vision/IMAX Enhanced/etc

Edit - FYI, since you have a PS5, are you gonna get Stellar Blade (previously known as Project Eve I think)? I became aware of this game due to the hoopla over the game dev choosing to go with a beautiful protagonist (scanned from a real woman) and NOT 'uglified' as is the norm for western made games. IF the PS5 has more games that come from these Japanese game devs that are more based, I'm think of snagging a PS5/PS6 when the time comes. Alex Battaglia had some laughable (to me anyway) things to say about the game, I've never held him in high regards, he rubs me the wrong way being such an nVidia shill. Just found the YT vid....Alex should just stick to technical review.

well it's a sony tv which i own, it's only 60hz. I was surprised by my brother's decision too, i mean he was originally looking to buy a chinese brand tv like you with 120hz refresh rate and stuff for half the price. But when he saw reviews about after sales service he was utterly disappointed and he also mentioned color caliberation is alot better with Sony TVs.
