i bought it ... it was on my wishlist got it day 1 release and i got a good laugh due to @Sithaer ordering it exactly from the same place i did order it
tho i will need to stop my open world goofing in H:ZD and finish it before i can actually start H:FW

playing atm : Guilty Gear Xrd Rev.2 and Nitroplus BlaterZ : Heroines Infinite Duel

i am on a stickless pad rampage and i love it more than using keyboard or XBOne controller

I am going to get it next. So I'm playing RDR2 now, I bought this game a while back and thought it was a bit boring at first and never tried to get into it. I gave it a shot now and I absolutely love it, very late to this train but enjoying it nonetheless. So after this I'll grab it. Hopefully I can grab it on some sort of sale.

I am personally of the opinion that being late is good for at least two reasons: bug fixing and sales

usually i do that ... (more on hardware than soft ... ) but for some games ... like H:ZD, H:FW and CP2077 (yeah bought it close to day 1 ... and got zero issues ) i can't avoid the itch

Yeah its hard not to spam screens from this game, its beautiful in general and I'm often stopping around while playing the game to look at the scenery and whatnot.

I still only have ~20 hours played in the game since I like to take my time but so far I enjoy it the same as HZD.

I'm playing this as well. Trying to decide if the experience is better on rx6700xt (+5800x) or 4060LP (+5950x).

So far with latest AMD drivers on rx6700xt I get checkered mess on the screen when in caves (when viewing the cave map) and I notice textures popping in and out a lot in game play.

4060LP it took me a bit to experiment with some settings because I was getting some kind of issue where it would regularly pixelate and refocus. (perhaps I'm not describing it correctly) I'm not as familiar with tinkering with Nvidia settings but now managing to play it at 1080p with very high settings DLSS balanced with frame generation at 120-ish FPS. The screen tearing it minimal I hardly notice it . CPU pops up to mid 70's and bops around 4.5GHz to 4.7GHz and GPU in 70's and only 250 watts from the wall for the system.

I find it interesting just like in real lift squirrels just run out in the middle of the road and when your galloping quickly on the back of a machine it's hard to avoid them.

i've sanked 30hours + into aliens dark descent and still not finished... and i havent been doing every single pick up and certain secondary objectives....
this is one of the best titles i've played to date.. very challenging...
The game design is very atmospheric.. the environment design, lighting and the game can be punishing if you try to rush things
the characters are very cool too, hard headed marines grunts dialogue are funny sometimes.
in the original aliens movie, it was just between the marines, weyland yutani scummy corporate jockeys and the xenomorphs themselves...
in this game it has expanded with prometheus lore but i felt it didnt go that route but instead something even more sinister... rather than your usual synths being the antagonist

I've been playing Alien vs Predator games my whole PC life and really dig the franchise.

I have been looking into this game and wanted to ask you if it's any good? Quite interested in picking this one up.

have you played titles like jagged alliance? u view the game from top down and use environment strategically to your advantage...
placing sentry guns at choke points... use your pulse rifle for supressing fire to slow down enemies, my play style is placing shit ton of heavy fire and deal with xenos quickly
but there is another play style where ppl micro manage during massive swarm clusters is moving and flanking them...
when you level up your squad make sure to get a recon, he has a sniper rifle with a silencer to pick off xeno's quietly without alerting the hive...
when you do get alerted try not to stay in the area and move away... the will slowly lose your scent..
this game i can say is fun and at times challenging but its probably the best Aliens game to date...

I've settled with High Textures/Medium Shadows rest is pretty much maxed with DLSS on Quality 'using the latest version dll' and this seems to be the sweet spot for my system/resolution.
Usually it stays between the 60-73 FPS range during gameplay which is where I have it capped cause I'm only using a 75 Hz display anyway.
During cutscenes there can be drops but eh those don't bother me much.

I'm in the same boat with RDR 2, very briefly tried it when I still had my RX 570 years ago but I'm still yet to play the game for real even tho it does look like a good game to me. 'and at this point I could easily run it..'
But yeah if I pick that game up then most likely I wont have time for other games for a very long time, considering my slow pogress in such games. 'like Forbidden West currently'

Just looked into Dark Descent and it looks very very good, adding that to my Wishlist as well. Does look like quite the challenge as you said.

I honestly cannot recommend RDR2 enough, that and Last of Us Part 1 are some of the best games I've played.

That is funny! I haven't had my camping kit stolen. As for the Griffon, I fought it on 2 or maybe 3 occasions and each time it would eventually take off, but this last time we were able to kill it. This might be due to being more powerful, or maybe we got lucky but I was super stoked when we killed it.
