well it has a mirror finish on top, I guess you just bought an expensive mirror, you could alternatively send it to @freeagent as a christmas ornament, his little heart would melt
I am just using what came with my mobo.. works good
I bought mine originally so that I had something that looked different from the basic cookie cutter setup that comes with motherboards. They do work well..
My main mobo (sig rig) has the nvme (pcie 4.0) slots at the bottom well away from the gpu, so clearance isn't an issue. And I just wanted to test them. But so far the EKWB versions and the one from the gigabyte mobo still work better than the Asus ones.

Thank you! Yes, definitely not cheap but after eyeing them for a couple years and A2A (local retailer) having a mega sale on them, I finally pulled the trigger haha
I think as Space Lynx said, they should last me a lifetime

They are nice. I have a nice pair of B&W P7's which are not as expensive but lovely, made from stainless steel and leather, already pretty old but holding up well. https://www.whathifi.com/bw/p7/review
so did i ... and i am glad i've choosen (thanks to TPU reviews by VSG) the Edifier STAX Spirit S3 ... dang these cans are bloody good no matter how i use them ... heck still 70ish % left and i still haven't put them on charge more than once since i bought them (5 month )
wired on the Q11 they sound a tad better than wireless (and better than with the KA1 )
also i noticed a slight "error" with the Q11 review, on the bundle description:
"This is also why we get two silicone pads for the Q11 with the larger one meant for desk use and the smaller one to be placed between the phone and the Q11 itself. "
@VSG both larger and smaller silicone pads are to be used with the phone, the smaller goes, indeed, between phone and Q11 and the larger is actually a holder
akin to the silicone bands bundled with the Q1MKII but with way better screen clearance
like that
actually given the shell case i use on my S23, i don't need the smaller pad and i use it for desk usage
it stretch quite less than that Ultra (S22 if i am not mistaken) but has quite a snuggly fit and barely hide the corners.
it's a huge improvement over the silicone bands for me
Back in the days, I'd discovered planars, and fell hard for the HiFiMan sound, hence my preference for 'em, I did try the Audeze 2, found the sound signature to not be to my liking. Anyway, I'm something of a hoarder, still have a good number of cans that I can't seem to wanna part with ... just realized my Grado GS1000i and MD HE4XX aren't in the pic.
planars are great I still have a couple budget pair planars. I was never able to find a planar within my price range that had the "slam" hd58x give me though
i used to own these same cans, special edition audio technicas if I remember right, they were quite nice really. one of the few I regretted selling

Yep, Audio Technica ATH-A900X LTD, it has a nice sparkle, and pretty decent mid-bass which I like. I generally prefer cans that have a some sparkle, and decent enough bass. I do recall getting an older model Razer Black Shark, only because it looked bada$$ (like the old pilot type headset) be the sound was a terrible mess, bloated (and I do mean BLOATED) bass killing off the mids so details are masked, not much by way of treble as well. Last time I'd bought a can based on looks alone.
These are my five all-time favs, I'd not sell them as I like ach and every one of the five for different reasons, and yes, the Grado's included. I'd had the fixed cable on the Denon AH-D7000 modded, removed and had SMC plugs/ports affixed so I can try out different cables.
Did Intel wind down the Optane biz, anyways? OTOH, it looks like the SK Hynix SSDs are the future indeed, especially if they spank the Western Digital Black SN850Xs!
SK Hynix SSDs are also sold under the Solidigm brand. Saw that brand at Newegg, even though I likely will buy an SSD elsewhere. There were no Platinum P41s there. There were also no Golds there either.
Decided to go back to air, after my WC gave me a scare last cleanup. Just need to wait for my new Deepcool AK620 Digital to arrive, then I'll try to sell my TT 240 AIO on the cheap.
BONUS: removing the radiator from the side mount of my case, I'll be able to install longer GPUs. Not that I'll replace my 3070 anytime soon...

Ill prolly run optane for my OS, media cache and scratch drives for the foreseeable future. And yeah but there's plenty of new drives at great prices still. Cant wait to get a 5800x optane, but they are just too expensive for my taste atm. I got the SK Hynix drives on sale from Amazon. I know Solidigm has taken over so Ill get those in the future as they have supposed better drivers.
so, i found an interface for the 104BCD, not too expensive ... albeit in a Swiss online shop
okay, fudge... Bosch Gen 4.... i have a Yamaha PW-CE motor and i remember ordering a Yamaha PW STD spider from FSA and not Race Face ... and since it's a zip bag, i could check that without "open package" issues : customer service mailing ... 1 day lost ... correction made, nothing to pay not even the return of that one ... YAY! (hilarious: the Bosch Gen 4 have the same number of teeth but they are a just a smidge wider ... bollocks ... )
looking good, although
a friend told me : "since you don't have a solide interface between the crank and the chainring you will have to adjust the crank angle everytime you backpedale and unlike the one from Absolute Black, that chainring does not have an offset"
me: "well the offset issue is corrected then ... i just have to adjust manually when i am backpedaling, no biggies"
perfectly straight on the smallest ring on the cassette, as it should be, so no derailing like when i tested the other crankset (plus the Deckas is a narrow-wide teeth type, so, less derailing risk compared to the original one which was only narrow)
tested, funny thing .... easier to reach max speed, more comfort going uphill, adjusting the crank is not that hard and almost come naturally... (and the spider plus chainring and bolts did only cost me half of an Absolute Black chainring and they only have them in 110/4)
and bought that for a quarter, literally ... the friend who "gave" it to me, missed 25cts to buy something at the local supermarket ... and he was about to toss that Mate 20 Lite to the e-waste bin, so i gave him 25cts and took the phone it react and make sound ... but the screen seems to be out of order
for the bike, that's all folks
with a good ceramic wax chain lub ... ohhhhh i can see that already ...
for now till the end of the year i will concentrate on computer tech ... if i can
After a very long wait, STECS is finally here.........there are a lot of firsts here, too many to count, not just for VKB but for the overall state of HOTAS
Both have their merits, I'd say, but in a general sense, STECS does offer a lot that Orion does not.

Well, now's your chance. STECS is $199/219/279 for mini, mini plus and standard.
I personally don't think the CM3 should be taken seriously anymore at its asking price. These days we have STECS and Orion 2 that get you a lot more for your money.
Until governments change their policy and acknowledge virpil's move to lithuania, their orders are also still getting hit left and right with ridiculous 35% duties in Canada and Australia.

The aussie site is still a preorder, waiting on their boat. The EU site is just waiting on the boat. Those two are distributors with their own stock, double edged sword I guess. NA site just ships from HQ (China) stock, which means we don't have to wait, but we get bent over for shipping while those two stores are just local shipping fees.
I can only compare to the Orion, but others are already doing first impressions of STECS vs. CM3, and I think everyone agrees that it's time for Virpil to get off its high horse and compete. It's a nice product, just not *that* nice.
