Just booted the thing up to check out the screen and almost shit myself when it shouted "HELL-O MOTO" at me. It was like that terrorist alarm clock meme from family guy. I set the bar quite low for the speakers after going through the handful of reviews that were available and if that boot up sound is anything to go by, Its certainly a complete night and day difference compared to my Note 9 Pro Max that sounds like they gave it one of them no bass, no mids laptop speakers from the 90s.
Its slightly less wider, thicker and lighter than my current handset and it does sit in my hand a little more comfortably too. The edges are also slightly curved but that doesnt make any difference at all when its inside the plastic case provided.
It feels like a slimmed down and and upgraded version of my current handset. Added more storage capacity and got rid of the excess camera modules for weight saving while upgrading the screen to 120hz and CPU for mo power babeh.
Disabling it was the first thing i did. did a complete data and settings transfer which went really smoothly. I have never done a USB C to USB C - phone to phone clone/backup/transfer like that before.
Hah well without a long story I bought a 7900XTX when I realized my 6950XT was gonna have to be RMA'd which meant sending it back to the UK where it was purchased so I was gonna go a month or so without a PC and snagged a good deal on the GPU. So my justification on this purchase is the replacement cards value should cover the cost of this. Firstly I drive ALOT I have a G923 the top consumer wheel from Logi and I like it alot but I hate the pedals I actually preferred the G920 pedals and "rubber block" in the brake the latest pedals have nothing SO...I bought these...
I have only driven a bit in ATS but they had EXACTLY what I was missing, actual brake travel and modulation. I did swap the springs the clutch was too heavy but the lightest spring was too light so swapped with the gas and now perfect. I mean the amount of customization is next level I don't even understand it just glad the out of the box setup so far has been fine and will just take some getting used too. but this thing is literally science....
Anyway I am in love with them already and barely used them
FSP Hydro PTM PRO 1200W ATX 3.0 PCI-E GEN-5 80 Plus Platinum Full Modular Power Supply (HPT2-1200,Gen5) my EVGA 1300G2 is almost 9 years old , will use it in my second rig , which has a Corsair 750 .
on the way soon (tm)
WD Black SSD SN770M M.2 2230 NVMe 2000 GB
well 120chf (instead of 189chf) is not that bad for a 2tb ... it only make the price go up to 370chf sooooo
i took the liberty to check if i had a "fried uSD reader" unit with the 64gb i use for my Recalbox Rpi Zero 2 W in my GPi case .... and it works ... let's add a 79chf uSD card then ... (109chf normal price)
SanDisk microSDXC-Karte Extreme PRO 1000 GB 200MB/s
to transfer my STEAM libraries more easily ...
and i spent quite a bit in my latest STEAM purchase : Grandia II and it's bloody awesome on the Ally (i still own the original for Dreamcast, it should be somewhere in my house alongside my Dreamcast)
also bought Mass Effect Legendary (YAY! 7th time i bought a mass effect game! 3 time on Xbox, all collectors ed. , 3 time on PC, standard digitals that time, 8 if i count Mass Effect Andromeda...) for 11chf during sale and a "coup de coeur" bullet hell ... Deathsmiles from CAVE
he decided to take it apart to see what's inside ... it goes without saying that the arcade terminal that his parents paid a fortune for it in 2009 (Deathsmiles released in late 2007)did not like it ...
generic picture from the internet ofc ... but it was that same model

I don't remember me caring about it. $200 more, $200 less... I'm living for fun, and playing it safe with a cheap device is no fun. Especially considering I genuinely know what I am doing and have a couple known techies who can fix this monitor if anything wrong happens — for reasonable money.

no, they just knew not to make certain people too excited until it was ready to ship. case in point, see my most recent post in the steam deck owners clubhouse, I really don't blame them for this strategy.
