Bought one of these portable android auto unit to go in the car, since the car has a very old OEM android unit which doesn't support android auto.
I would like to change the unit but its way too much hassle as its linked to a lot of the OEM tech(small info screen next to the speedometer + reverse camera) in the car, I have found weird results from other people experience in swapping the head unit + using harness adapters to existing harness.
Part of the info screen works and some found it not working at all.

They were nice, especially with the 1440x900 panel.

This one has the standard 1280x800 display but that's fine as I'll be hooking it up to a monitor anyway. I've bought it simply to test some S1g1 processors for my website. I have half of them, but the other half are rare as a hen's tooth apparently.

----

The last thing I bought was an Athlon 3000G for £17.

Two three metre DP 2.1 cables.

VESA certified (I checked), UHBR10/40 Gbps only, but DP54/DP80 cables don't seem to exist in 3 metre lengths, which is what I need.

Regardless I'm only running 1440p/240Hz anyway, not 4K/240 or anything more strenuous.

Will allow using the inbuilt cable management of my new MX900 through desk dual display mount, while having enough excess length to tidy the cables elsewhere too.

Also grabbed some toothbrush heads. These have some smarts in them for pressure sensing/NFC to tell you when to replace, but I don't use the app and ignore all that anyway, lmao.

The nanohydroxyapatite seems to work well, I like it, Japanese specialist engineering strikes again.

I can recommend silk pillowcases if you're in the habit of showering before bed rather than in morning as I am, hair isn't messed up when you wake.

They are closed back, but you could give the DT-770 Pro 80ohm a shot.
Those have ridiculous bass (in a good way).

Got my 7500F from AliExpress for 145$ shipped, now just waiting for the chassis and the rest of the parts for my first AM5 build. The last AMD build I did was back when the Athlon XP processers were out, though I won't miss the VIA chip sets this time around.

Bit late but I finally git around to ordering an iFixit kit. My initial plan was to try to fix my loose Type C connector on my Quest 2. While getting apart via. An iFixit tear down I realized it was more of a hassle than it was worth. So instead it gave me an excellent excuse to buy a Quest 3 Which I absolutely love because in my mind it literally fixed everything I felt was wrong with the Quest 2.

Anyone have any thoughts on which RX7800XT to replace an aging Sapphire Nitro+ OC RX6800XT
I was looking at the Red Devil RX7800XT this arvo which is on special but if it only has red LED lighting I'm not that keen on it
Sidegrade, kinda?

I got one of these after ages of using cheap crappy tools. So much better and useful for more than just phones.

Tomorrow is gong to be a fun day changing the heart of one of my systems. :)
Not going to lap this one unlike the current 7600X, can't be bothered... want to see how this new efficiency pans out in testing first.

Yeah I mean I already have a set of all the “security bits” but nothing really small so this fillled in the gap

Pricey, but useful, convenient and quality stuff to have. I mean bits, but also and especially the helpful rest you may not see the use for until it comes in handy driven by your creativity. Likely from this kind of pricey things to serve you your whole life and in the best way. Plus some bit may come in handy where you wouldn't guess - e.g. I needed one to screw new toilet seat which didn't have needed tool included.

First ever Seasonic and not a rebranded Seasonic (from Corsair....Ive had a few)

A bit Cheaper than the original choice of 850RMx which was sitting at £109

1723628972102.png

Also comes with one of these:

1723630397669.png

But looking back on the PSU now. They had a much more premium model...

1723630438348.png

Im not sure if i made the right choice.

::EDIT::

I made the right choice. Its still an A tier PSU.

LOL that’s actually funny because last month I managed to squeak in getting a brand new iPad with 1 day left on my warranty. They don’t actually service them(mic was busted)they just replace them.

Some butt-ugly B-Die for a DDR4 LGA1700 board I have. It's almost impossible to find. Wanted 3600 flat 14's, but could only get 3200. Hopefully I can make it to 3600 or better.

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
bits'n gizmo... (almost all compulsive buying  )

el cheapo drone ... well, albeit the user guide entirely in chinese ... and the price being 1/3rd of my other drone (Ryze Tello) it's surprisingly not bad at all ...
20240813_203445.jpg
also smaller... could be a good match for holidays carry ... (the black thingamajig on top is "obstacle avoidance" using 5 receiver and seemingly 1 IR blaster? )

ok ... i wanted to swap and test the 6N3P for a General Electric JAN 5670W... not disappointed sound wise ... marking wise... well let's say that the soviet one has longer lasting markings

more cheap DAC ... Cirrus Logic this time
20240813_204110.jpg20240813_204059.jpg20240813_204103.jpg

0.75mm pin hook for the BT20 Pro and the Chu II, BT dongle for the main rig (10 time cheaper than a locally bought one ... and driverless, obviously)
20240813_203826.jpg20240813_203805.jpg

and an odd USAMS charger ... PD 35W with a retractable USB-C module (1 USB-C plug already on the charger ... ) interesting because...
20240813_203706.jpg20240813_203710.jpg

since they sell a powerbank with the same concept ... if they don't have the USB-C model in stock i can take the "obsolete" Lightning one
