It's older, but it's still a solid PSU.
Absolutely - thousands of people use it everyday.

Everything has finally arrived and I'll be putting it together this week. The build consists of:

PADO BF-Mini Case - $29
Machinist H61 Motherboard - $20
32gb DDR3 desktop ram $28
No Name LGA1151 cooler - $12
i7 3770 - $29
512gb NVMe (Silicon Power) - $29 (they were on sale this week).
Thermaltake 600 watt PSU - $34

Including tax, it runs $200.
I am probably going to throw my RX 560xt in it, which will make the entire build less than $300.

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
received my GBA cable ... no light o_O "nooooooooooooooooooo..."

oh, wait the battery is 23yrs old ...

no problems ... a 603048 3.7V 900mAh pack, a pcb from RetroVerse (RetroVerse is the distributor for Switzeland the PCB is from RetroModding) and a 3d printed bracket to the rescue (i'd say it's an upgrade to the original 600mAh ) bought it locally since i am still not getting the hang of 3D printing small pieces :p (well ... it was cheap, for once.)
20241112_120409.jpg
well even tho the original is dead ... it's not even bulging, good job AGS-003

the good thing : even if they discontinue the battery pack and 3rd party stop making fake capacity "compatible" (i remember ordering locally one rated 850mAh for a NDS and testing it at 350mAh  ) 603048 pack would be still available (lucky i bought some soldering kit :D )

oh, and it's a "Makho" :D

perfect!
20241112_120715.jpg

the flash card is neat and it can also handle NES roms (i kept several cartridges from my NES and SNES :D and Airwolf was one of my favorites  )

Check out EEMB for batteries - German company but they also sell on amazon. I use their batteries for things like bike lights, cycling computers and BT speakers.

I bought a pair of ddr3 sodimms for an old laptop I set up for my wife to play around with Linux. Cost me $15 on ebay.

I bought a cheap gigabit switch for my basement, since I only had a single cat5a cable running there from my home office and I wanted to move my NAS down there and connect my HT Reciever to it. But it was like $20

Last real Tech Purchase, used GTX 1080 TI for my wife's PC for like $150 a few months ago.

In January I plan to get myself a new GPU, and to buy my wife a new TV as she likes to game from a recliner. Her TV is a cheap edge lit TV which is starting to fail.

I thought those just appeared in closets. I swear I have several I don't know where they came from.

I searched the closet, but only found a 10mbit hub, and a couple of 100mbit switches as well as some coax cable with 75ohm terminators. My closets only hold ancient technology it seems.
i think it's high time for some closet raiding!

not mine ... yours ... mine only hold vintage clothing ... my ancient/vintage tech are always on full display :D

well ... another "why not" moment, fake carbon tho not bad looking and, well, it could be interesting for times i don't want to wear my T-Rex 2 (yep it's a smartring)
and a uSD to USB-C card reader in black (i had one in silver but a USB-C 1 male to 2 female hub literally fried it ... *pop crackle fizzz*,smoke and all that... someone forgot to wire that hub correctly ... well, at least it only killed the reader, the 1tb SDXC card that was in, is still fine )

Not so recent because i had to fix it i got on a used market for only 30€ a Silverstone Raven rv01 but it had some rusty spots that i had to clean up and repaint and add a hdd cage with caddies because only 1 of the original 6 was with the case :( .

Why is that? I think it looks good.
Looks generic. Like a stock image. The "R" is not a pleasing font to my eye. The shadow on the trash can seems unnecessary.

It is just an aesthetic choice, but I'd choose a different font, add "evo" in small letters next to the "R", and lose the shadow.

It is good software none-the-less.

My last tech purchase, the RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua OC Edition, of course I was sloppy and killed the card via the stupid stock 12VHPWR adapter, after the repair I "fix it" so it couldn't move anymore.
Nvidia are too arrogant to sell this crap adapter when they can fix it really easily...
