It gets to much vcore stock
Don't know about multicore load, which was the only time it gets hot like I describe.

But at its highest, would be only with the low-thread-gaming-boost-profile. It was cool in games, even if it was at 1.5V!

Multicore loads, for sure, OTOH, would be hot at only 1.3V.

Ryzen 9 5900x is my new cpu and it's a litte faster than a ryzen with 8 cores

What bothers me is that even when it's only doing 10-20% when i have started my pc, it get rather not + 60c until it settles

So new thermal paste thermalright tf7 (thermalright peerless assasins 120 black) but still 60+ low temps almost idle is low 40

What is your room temperature?
Have you tried to open your BIOS and set the fans to spin more aggressively? If they are set to 0% till 40°C... you have to make them spin at about 30-40% till 35°C

37°C ~ fan 40%
50°C ~ fan 60%
65°C ~ fan 70%
75°C ~ fan 90%

If you haven't yet, update your BIOS to the latest version from your motherboard website!

I see that your cooler's fans are not quiet.

Not enough 140mm to make a difference

Thermalright fans are fine, i don't need to have them ruinning so i can hear them, at moment 10-20% cpu usage and 59-60c

Whatever fans you choose with your cooler you can of course fix the upper limit of the fan curve for quiet operation. The Ryzen CPU will simply downclock if you are reaching max temp regardless of your fan speed. Then if you don't like how high the temps are you can set the temp limit in UEFI/BIOS. That works pretty well for managing noise and heat.

Deepcool AK620 make absolutely no sense to buy

it's not noticeable better (if it happens to be better) AND it's 60% more expensive
yeah, there are DeepCool AG620 for those who are "okay" with no bling bling rgb and "black edition" design.

deepcool makes very good products nowadays for a good prices. though, there is DeepCool AG620 which is even cheaper. it all depends from market and location.

I wanna lower my temps a little i think late 60's is to high at 25% is usage (chrome)

I don't need to use all of it's power., thats the beauty of having a high core cpu by as soon i se some video in chrome (don't know the type of video it is) my cpu usage is 25% ish total and my temps goes of the roof late 60's (hardware acceleration is disabled to get a smoother experince on both of my monitors)

Buying a Deepcool AG620 doesn't make sense since it's not better than what i have and much more expensive

Oh hey, this thread is still ongoing for some reason.

I wanna lower my temps a little i think late 60's is to high at 25% is usage (chrome)
That’s a fools errand. Zen just doesn’t work the way older CPUs did. It will boost itself as long as it doesn’t reach the thermal limit. All lowering the temperature will do is give it more headroom, then it boosts and you end up mostly where you started. Just don’t worry about it.

my cpu is used 25% ish total and my temsp goes of the roof late 60's (hardware acceleration is disabled to get a smoother experince on both of my monitors)
Uh, I mean, modern GPUs have video decoding in-hardware specifically to avoid this. Using CPU for videos isn’t very efficient, so I am not sure why you are shooting yourself in the foot like this and then get surprised by the temperature.

Maybe it's time to consider using different browser and turning on hardware acceleration so that you actually utilize the GPU for the tasks it was intended to perform.

With 4K youtube video playing in Firefox my 5800X3D is sitting at 38C and 1.7% CPU use from the browser.

Don't know if it say to diabale hardware acceleration but it did it to get a smoother experince so i read somewhere to disable hardware acceleration

Essentially the problem was that when i had a video or really any kind of motion on my secondary or third monitor be it a 144hz or 60hz (Main display is 144hz) display, the game on my primary display would feel super choppy and sluggish.

2024-04-16 11_39_59-FINALLY SOLVED! Game stutters when video or stream plays on secondary moni...jpg

I use Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO on my Ryzen 9 5900X and my temps are better than yours, and my fans spin at high RPM only when the temps get high, I don't complain that it's noisy.
Also, your case Corsair, if true, is better than mine.

you can get as mentioned the new artic 36 for a very low price

i have pbo activated (advanced) to be able to use curv optimizer

mabye i should try the new arctic 36 ?

My case is biger than a normal sized case so the air has to tavelk a longer distance befor the air hit my cpu cooler or gpu (2 fan rtx 3060)

This setting has been freely visible since WinXP nv drivers (in nv ctrl panel) and is also set to "Multiple display performance mode" by default. Odd that it would be set otherwise.
it did make a diffrence for me and it wasn't cpu or gpu related as i though, hz difference don't make a difference like it can be with 60hz and high refresh monitors.

I do have hardware acceleration disabled and when ever something flash related or what ever it is in chrome and often facebook, my cpu runs at 20-25% and temps raise to late 60's or even higher (avx ?) despite same temps when doing aida64 or occt, even with as low usage in chrome, facebook as 20-25% it goes up in the late 60's

My cpu cooler fans start going up at 70 c

Your case is less than optimal the way you have it setup now. If you are worried about temps, why are you using PBO? That will just push the CPU harder. Arctic 36 is junk compared to what you have right now. Fix your case flow or get a new case, or get an aio to use for that case, since it was made for one..

What's interesting is that the ARCTIC coolers have direct touch heat pipes, while on your cooler the heat pipes are hidden behind a metal part.

I begin to suspect that the heat pipes on your cooler are either empty of water, or don't work as efficiently.

You have two options - to swap the cooler in favour of the ARCTIC 36, or to put two ARCTIC/Noctua/bequiet 120 mm fans on your Thermalright heatsink.

My cpu cooler fans start going up at 70 c

This is ridiculous in terms of aggression in favour of silent operation! :twitch::confused::eek:

At low loads the CPU is boosting driving up the temps briefly.

So I think what your trying to say is you want a solution for your fan noise from the spikes in CPU temperature? I think your best bet is to set a fan curve. If you go to AIO you would probably be setting a fan curve anyway for quiet operation. Also of course your case needs to be sure to exhaust hot air reasonably well. You could also choose to replace the heatsink fan with one that has a better noise profile.

no, 70c is okay, just that running cpu 25% and temps goes up to late 60s is a bit high

6 heatpipes makes a difference, that why the 7 heatpipes makes the thermalright phantom a cooler(better) cpu cooler than the peerlees assassin, not because of the fans (might be the same fans)

For what it’s worth, I can run my 5900X up to 180w PPT with no fans on FC140 or PS120. That is why I mentioned your case flow. Anyways, happy hunting.

Your CPU is doing what it's supposed to do which is boosting at light workloads. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
6 heatpipes makes a difference, that why the 7 heatpipes makes the thermalright phantom a cooler(better) cpu cooler than the peerlees assassin, not because of the fans (might be the same fans)

Using PBO you can reduce EDC a bit to reduce temps. If you reduce it too far you will kill your boost clocks.

70°C is the reason for those "late 60s". Can't you simply decrease that 70° to 50°C?
If it gets noisy then, the problem is in your fans, so you need to replace them with silent ones.

6 heatpipes makes a difference, that why the 7 heatpipes makes the thermalright phantom a cooler(better) cpu cooler than the peerlees assassin, not because of the fans (might be the same fans)

The heat pipes, no matter their quantity, are not in a vacuum space. The construction of those Thermalright coolers is broken in the concept.
I say so because many years ago I used the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme and guess what, my Core 2 Quad Q9450 was throttling.

The construction of those Thermalright coolers is broken in the concept.
No it isn’t. I have a bunch of them that say you are wrong.

The heat pipes does make a difference

Thats why 7 on the same cooler (phantom) gives you better perfomance than the 6 on the peerless assassin

AM4 offset mounts might make a bit of a difference too centering the heat pipes over the dies more directly or allowing a more even distribution of heat pipes centered among the dies. From what I've seen of several reviews anywhere between 0 to 3c improvement. This is highly dependent on the cooler. Noctua example below.

Do you know why AMD has put the cIOd in the centre, while keeping the CCXs in the periphery? It should be the opposite - the CCXs in the centre, and the cIOd anywhere else...
