Demand shot up for some reason. I've no clue. My best guess a lot of people were waiting, saw juice isn't worth the squeeze and just like that the entire remaining stock of Ada evaporated

I mean people just need to be patient, an overclocked 5080 is better than spending 2000+ on a 4090 and eventually the 5090 won't be difficult to get although I think it will settle around 2500-2800 not it's 2000 msrp.

Gamers need to get use to the fact that the flagship/halo card is no longer targeted at gamers and can be used for making money it's just a shame the 5080 is cut down more than even the typical 70 class card historically.

I did so in janurary though, so several months after launch - got my hands on the first card 1 month after launch, the screaming strix card - that was despite ordering on day one

I camped out Tustin's MC, and just managed to get a card. Zotac SOLID OC, overclocked it last night +275 to the core, +1000 to memory. Might push memory more, but for now it's stable after a bunch of testing. Excited to run Monster Hunter at 4k/120 in a few weeks!

The toilet paper fiasco during the pandemic along with the RTX 3000 series scalping taught more retards(and I'm sure quite a few retailers as well) how to scalp. Post-RTX 3000 series, its become the norm. Granted, its not "as bad" compared to the $4k-$6k+ 3090's were going for at one time, but these 5000 series cards are still way overpriced. Fortunately, I'm good to go with my 3090 & A6000 until the RTX 6000 or maybe even the 7000 series.
I wonder if things are going to pan out with Kingpin & PNY. I haven't heard anything since a while back when he was planning on joining PNY & possibly producing Kingpin cards again.
