Whats wrong with 21H2 for you?

I have ordered the key, but I probably wont be trying it until next week, the earliest as still need to finish PC upgrade, then after catch up with some work stuff, but dont mind reporting back if the activation stays validated, or if key pulled by microsoft for illegal use.

From what I can tell based on documents I found, you have to be a volume license customer to be legally using a licensed copy of LTSC and reselling is forbidden, but I could be wrong and talking nonsense.

That time, the key was refused. I emailed them and told them the error code, and within an hour, they sent another key. Worked fine. They are easy to deal with, and always there for the paying customer.

I say, we TPUers need our own Volume License, so we can legitimately use LTSC. Granted I'm with thefool, smoke it if you got it. :pimp:

Looking back to see how I paid, I noticed that the response they sent to give a new key was twenty minutes....

And it was with personal card. I think i tried paypal, but is still with the same card. I have a good handle on fraud protection and id protection, if that is why you ask @mechtech

WTF does "IoT" even mean in this context? "Internet of Things" is quite vague in regards to how it affects a Windows license/featureset.

Designed for devices that run windows but aren't like a daily driver PC. Daily driver style PC units would generally run vanilla windows for the recurring updates.

A permanently installed PC running a specialized software, on the other hand, might need stability over performance and features. Think about, say, a self-checkout or airport kiosk. An overnight update that breaks the software designed specifically for a version of Windows would cause chaos. These things aren't really PCs, more IoT devices, but utilize PC hardware and need a robust OS.

Also, there are highly regulated and fairly security-conscious industries, where software must undergo rigorous certifications. Updating these for each Windows release is not feasible.

You aren't wrong from the EULA's perspective but Microsoft is pretty lax on enforcement.

As long as you have a valid license key, then yes. 2032 will be your end date. However, Windows 10 LTSC does NOT have a kill-switch. Such a thing is ENTIRELY illegal. So if you keep using it beyond 2032, you'll be out of support, but the OS won't magically implode on you.

Incorrect. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is a long-term service branch of the OS. The 2032 timeline is the end date for microsoft supported updates. Paid update, if they're made available will come after that time-point.
