finally, as mentioned in the "purchase" thread i ordered some goodies for my birthday gift (quite in advance if i might say so :laugh:

)

i think i'm set for quite some time now after doubling the RAM and vRAM and going 5800X3D

if making abstraction of the plastic shroud, the Hellhound is one heck of a nice card no RGB but can select ice-blue, white or off for the leds ... which is, well i am fine with it ... i love white
the RAM is unsynced because all i had to do after swapping gears was 1. re install Icue (well now the problem is no more, and i can quite Icue and the light stay white

) 2. modify BIOS, put back the RAM on A-XMP profile and set up REBAR again... everything else: easy breezy

Its alive! New z690 ASRock Extreme and 12700k as well as a new fan set up with MNPCtech grilles. I call it the Murder Machine. Its mainly for COD hardcore MP. I was struggling to break 20k in 3dmark timespy with my oc'd 11900k, this upgrade did the trick. Easily passed 20000 today.

Tried fixing my 3080 by repasting and readjusting thermal pads. It boots, driver installs without hitch so I give it a light game to try first (Witcher 1), about 10 mins in game the PC suddenly shuts down. No response from power button and even after power drain it still the same, I did cleaning again but card still dead. RIP 3080, you'll be missed. It was an ex-mining cards with corroded heatsink and I gave it a nice retirement as I only run at 875mV most of the time, and almost lasted a year with me. Best card I ever have tbh.

No RGB, except for a bit of R on the vandal switches. It's actually more silent than with the GT's.

To me, this seems like a PSU problem instead of a GPU...

Hi,
New acer 17 nitro finally got around to taking a few shots of it just under 1k.us
OC apps are a little underwelming but then again I liked the hardware and battery life reviewers talked about and of course gaming performance as well
Hardly know there's a gpu in it everything states amd graghics more than 4060...
But hwinfo shows it
Power brick weight is close to the lappies weight lol not sure why either, smaller gauge to it than from it to pc very odd acer :kookoo:

The DFI is one I started with, iirc its dead, but I still hung it. The other is the last Intel branded board made.
