my first cpu case mod, bought a standard stainless steel trashcan and basically figured out how to put all the components inside with cableties, nuts and bolts, and mounting brackets. still a working progress tough, 4 fans with led are still to be placed and also the samsung dvd writer which is to be placed just above the power and reset switch.

10/10 from me m8. That is one of the most original cases Ive ever seen ;)

PS: I would love to see a HUGE blue LED fan mounted in the lid :)

Amazing, I've never seen anything like that.... and where did you find such an attractive trash can? I'd love one of those in my office.
Only performance is lacking at this point, but the looks are superb!! 9/10

I don't know.... I would think that with the two 120mm fans blowing cold air in there wouldn't be much of an issue.

Those two fans would cover the hole MB, RAM, and Video Card. Also, there obviously isn't much of an issue with air flow in and out.

I would think the dust would only be slightly more than any other case sitting on the floor.

that is sooo cool i have a trashcan just like that only black i must say best trash cans ever wicked stylish...i also agree with d44ve i dont think heat would be an issue because it can bleed everyware......as for one thing however with a metal trashcan how can you keep it from shorting? 9/10

Thats true too... I wonder what he did to avoid that

He used straps and strapped the mainboard onto the trashcan...My guess is he used something to isolate the parts that make a connection to the trashcan.

hmmm i c cause if he used something like bubble wrap or saran wrap to keep it from shorting id agree w/ helas cause that would up the heat of the parts...not ambient...but the parts would be hotter for sure

ahhh, I see it now..... He used metal straps to mount it to the can, and then insulated where he mounted the board to it

I really don't care if it has a Pentium D. Anyone can spend $1000 on a high end CPU, modding your PC to look like this, priceless.
It looks like the MB is hold on to the trash can through the board's screw holes. So it would be pretty much like your steel case.

i used rubber moldings so that the board doesnt touch the can, and also electrical tapes to some of the little details of the components to prevent it from shorting out. note that this is still a working progress.. im still trying to clean the wiring and some other stuff. performance is not high end.. true... coz i still dont have the money :) but thanks for your comment guys. i appreciate it. please rate it.

Sold my stars!
10/10 for the originality, as for dust, i supposs it could get dusty but for the heat. its so well ventilated it shouldn't be a problem. you should get like a 250mm fan for the lid, kinda like the ones that they use in the thermaltake armors.

Amazing, you should add some filters to your fans though unless you have one of those
r2000 homes that have super clean air. 10/10

Dust shouldnt be much more of an issue than in any other case. Dust is drawn into a case by the case fans alone, it doesnt float in of its own accord. Any case sitting on the floor will tend to collect more dust (because of the carpet). But it shouldnt be too bad.

Very nice design. Loving the chrome.
