Clean build, with good hardware & a kick-ass Thermalright Sink, just wondering why you have it mounted that way.

Remember the case has 2x 140mm fans on the top of it; heat rises.

Hey

The Heatsink is mounted that way because the Nzxt Tempest has 2x140mm top fans for exhaust and heat rises...go figure. with 1x120mm rear exhaust. I've tried over 10 mounting setups and this way nets the bets results with 64c on 100% load on prime95 after 1hour testing with q6600 OC at 3.6ghz. By the way the Zalman 9700 produced 74c after 1 hour. So the TRUE black netted a 10c decrease.

I really like that True Black Heatsink, I wanted to get it for my system, but it would stick out the side of the case, Maybe after the price come down, I will still try it. at first because of your pictures I didn't see any fan mounted on top of the heatsink, but looking closer I can see a fan on top pulling up, Thanks for the reply.

Very clean. I like what you've done with the cable management. More pics would be nice though.

My Tempest just arrived today. I'm thinking of spraying the inside of mine black before putting the hardware in.

BTW, the two bootom tabs on my front panel broke off the first time I removed the panel. It still works just fine, jsut a piss-off on a new case.

One of the small tabs on the ODD locking mechanisms broke too (in shipping I think). Again, still works.

I also found that removing the top ODD mesh cover seemed a little tough. I was certain the tabs holding it in would break, but they didn't.

jmgator, are you using an Apevia UV Blue fan on your Thermalright too? It's hard to tell in your photos. I was kinda wondering if a fan is really necessary on the heatsink with as much airflow as this case has. Have you tried it?
