Newest updates to my system, and yes its been on Tech Power Up before. Intel Core 2 Duo (Q6600) overclocked (OC) to 3.2 cooled with a Zalman 9700 Heat sink and fan (HSF). 4 Gigs of GEIL DDR2 (6400)(4-4-4-12)memory. Still running the Asus P5WDH Deluxe, still running flawless after one year of OCing. Using the onboard sound card (SC) nowRealtek97, for some reason my XFi SC took a dive, kinda glad it did because with the Realtek, I can use my Pioneer 5.1 reciever connected by Coaxial connector. I got a new 7.1 system for the home TV, so I use the Pioneer for my system. Im using all 5 Pioneer speakers and a Klipse subwoofer. My XFI did not have that coaxial connector. Sent the XFI back and Creative sent me a new one, but still on my shelf. One BFG GTX260 Video card (VC)factory OC to 590. Haven't tried to OC the VC yet, but runs perfect at rated speed. I bought a new 22 inch Hannspree monitor with the HDMI input, and bought an HDMI cable, this monitor coupled with the GTX260, I see no jagged lines while racing on GTR Evolution. 2 320 Gig Western Digital internal hard drives (HD), and one external 500 gig Western Digital HD. Using a Saitek Eclipse keyboard and a Microsoft Sidewinder mouse for COD4. Also using the Track IR for my racing games and flight games, a must have item. It lets you look around in the cockpit of a plane or racing car with your head movement. Check out link, pretty cool! Check out link but copy and paste to address bar.
very nice set up, desk and pc. I'm a perfectionist so i would hide all them cables, but to each his own. Also, may a few big fans on the side panel because the smaller ones almost always loud. A few 120's or 140's will give you more cfm and lower db, but again. to each his own. Mine used to sound like a jet taking off with all 10 or my 80mm's, now i got 5 120's and 2 140's and its alot quieter. freaking cool set up regardless. 6/10
