Nice build. The custom made cases always tend to be a bit larger. One question though, I have a few more case build ideas and want to know where you got that ATX rear plate. Once again, nice work; homemade is the way to go.

Thanks Guys.

I used a back plate from an older case. And to mount it properly I used several nuts & bolts. And I too agree that homemade is the way to go :)

Once again, thanks guys & good luck on your custom cases.

i_am_mustang_manthat thing is sick!! unlock that gto2!!!!!!
LOL, I already did. It came completely unlocked, so all I did is Flash it to a X850XT & now it rocks @ OC'ed speeds of 600 MHz Core & 1260 MHz GDDR3.

I am getting a X1900XT tomorrow, I will post info on that too.

1 out of 10 ?? Why, can you please explain. Thank U

Just out of curiosity, I would like reason why I am getting a 1 out of 10. So, if anybody gave my mod a 1, please explain why, maybe I can do something to correct it or something?

Thanks

what type of rads are you using? seems like a 3700 sandy paired with a hydor l45 should be 100MHZ higher. my 4000 sandy taps out at 2.96 stably (can boot at 3.05 but fails prime) I keep it at 2.9 for the lower voltage. but the 3700's were supposed to overclock better than the 4000's. anyways super awesome mod, one of these days i'll get mine refined enough and post it, so far i have the rad's and res on top of the apsire case, cut the top off of a raidmax 268 and cut it to fit the rads while mounting the res in the top drive bay of the 268. still have to clean it up and finish mounting it.
woulda been easier to start from scratch like you did, then i could have a case that fits my needs while still having enough room to be managable. lol. How long did it take you?

Thanks Bro,

It took me around 3 months or so. But only working on it when I had time on my hands. I would say about 3 to 5 hrs a week or so, for 3 months.

Here is a review I did in 2004. This was my first water cooling experience.
www.geocities.com/nt300/WCReview01.html

The only things I changed were the water pump, reservoir, and GPU & CPU blocks. I think?

New X1900XT Water Block info?

Cool job....
I am now using the "Danger Den - Tyee" GPU/DDR3 water block for my X1900XT. So, my card is now running @ 700MHz Core & 1600MHz GDDR3 memory no problem & Nice & Cool.

This water block is "VERY" tricky though? You cannot tighten the screws at all, I mean, anything more then a 1/4 inch turn with the screw driver, and my system won't boot up. It just beeps over & over & over? The block is so close to the board itself. But it does a nice job cooling the card.

Playing Quake 4 for over 2 hrs, my new OC'ed X1900XT's maximum temp was 48C where as it used to be around 78C with its stock cooling.

My X1900XT also has the exact same RAM as the X1900XTX.

That is sweet!

Hi.

That's a work of art you've created there. I abslutely admire the craftsmanship put into this rig. Makes my rig seem tame, but just so I don't seem so diminished by your awesome rig, I got an opteron! And my clocks bigger than yours. LOL! Nice rig, really.

Great mods. Wow, I would be too lazy to do that!
Don't even care why people give you 1's. It's just because their computer not as good and theey're jealous. Don't pay attention, you have a great pc.

Thanks Guys. I am building another one, but not so in depth though. Oh, and there is this one guy always giving 1's because he is jealous or something. I think everybody’s PC here "does not deserve a 1 out of 10"

Hmm, you should try flashing that card to the x1900xtx bios. This can help boost performance by quite a lot i hear. It uses different memory timings, voltages etc. Plus then you have more bragging rights =P

Wow, so have you managed 100,000 in Aquamark3, with the new gpu cooler? They're some very nice clocks you're running.

Well, my GPU runs @ around 48C while playing Oblivion for about 2 hrs. So, the water cooling is well worth it. But I am back to 650MHz & 1550MHz (XTX speeds). I can't seem to finish 3D Mark 2005 with 700/1600 for some reason?

Well, I am fairly new here, but have seen this before... imo @ least, it's some dork who has a problem w/ these forums &/or is some jealous fool.

I mean systems that were w/ out compare as far as cabling neatness or other areas, he goes around rating them 1's...

Like, wtf, you know?

* It's nothing to get you down, we apparently just have some people here or fools that "get off" on causing trouble imo @ least... idle hands are the devil's workshop & all that.

What goes around, comes around though. I don't think that person doing it realizes that... No explanation of why or for what reasons even... just mischief.

APK

P.S.=> I've seen your system, it doesn't merit that... when they do, they do, but imo your does not (I have not rated ANYONE's machine here, not yet, I have not seen enough imo to make judgements of that nature)... apk

I joined today just to tell you how awesome your rig is.
Ya, I also dig the fact that you built this monster from scratch. Love the pics also.
Are you going to do any more like this one in the near future? Join a competition or something, you have talent.

Will this be for sale @ anytime?
