Id say maybe a blue or dark purple cathode would look pretty sweet. I always wanted to re-sleeve my psu and have the all the connection tips chrome plated but not with real metal more like that paint that's used for kids toys. This would complete and black and chrome color scheme which I personally think looks really awesome. I was thinking about just painted my tips I just need to locate the paint and hope it turns out well. If it does work I would then paint the fan blades the same.

I think maybe this paint..

@crtecha
thanks for the tip! will check those out. but i'm not sure about the purple or blue
cathodes though. i've always enjoyed white lights. but i chose to use white led modules
instead of my previous white ccfl. a little dim but i like the overall effect.^^

here's a pic i had when i have the ccfls installed. (old pic, it lacked mods like sleeving etc)

my problem here is that the gigabyte logo i made cant be seen clearly as opposed
to what i did with my led modules. (didn't take a pic since it can be seen)

and the bright ccfls also magnify dust that accumulate to my rig! haha
i also tried combining led module and ccfls but the effect did not suit my taste.
the bluish hue of the white leds did not blend in well with the white ccfl.

but i will try to look at the paint you suggested. thanks again!

no problem Im going to pick up some this weekend to give it a go on a old psu. Also how do you have the LED's wired? I made a usb powered keyboard light using LED's and planned on mounted some in my case.

i used to see spoon sport civics with white and black themes. others with gunmetal rims.^^
the name just got stuck to my head when i finished my rig.

my rig is actually powder coated gunmetal with black interiors and some
matte black trimmings

Nice Rig,, I would also like to see better photos, but the over all look is eye catchingly Sharp. This is the type of Rig I like to see posted when I do my daily visits in the gallery. simple, clean, creative & sharp looking.

I dont think they even sell "true" purple cathodes let alone dark purple ones, i have some purple ones in my pc but they are very watered down if you understand what im saying, they are almost white with a violet touch to them, but if you have a link to some purple cathodes please send it my way!

Maybe your right these are the darkest cathodes I could find. I bet you could darken the cathode lenses to dissipate the light though.

I agree with crtecha. With the right lighting and photographer, your PC could be MDPC worthy. It is a very nicely done case/build.

Beautiful job. You took great pictures too with the proper amount of lighting and a good camera, but I hate the camera angles. I really wish you had a straight on side shot so that we really could see that empty space and how clean you kept it.

Holding off on voting.

Thank you!

That is amazing. I voted 9/10 simply because I never vote top score; you have to always reserve that for the possibility of something better, right? Still, you have an amazing computer there.

I've been looking to buy an air duct for my case. Where did you get yours? is it an 80mm or a 120mm?
