Toke a long time to build. but resulted in a cool piece. I made a vid on the build and the thing in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpIsqy-HJ_U
Has moving side panel and lights all controlled from remote control.
great built..very impressive..the groove details makes a realistic effect..i follow your work log and you took a long hard time building that case with all that custom parts and custom mechanism you did..but the result is fantastic!! I'm sure that case weighs heavy..how many tons weighs that thing?lol...10/10 from me for the hard haaaaard work and terrific built!
Love Pyramids; Specially yours (I'm Egyptian), 10/10 for the outstanding work, build quality, Lighting everything looks Awesome nice job. but where is the Keyboard and mouse? and do they match the Awesomeness?

Tnx mhikevin, It's not that heavy as it's a mini PC. I think about 5 kg.

Yeah the pyramids have always something mystic about them. I got a matching keyboard (build in mouse and bluetooth) and remote control for it (remember it's a HTPC so in normal circumstances i only need the remote).
Bjorn_Of_Icelandtbh, I never was a fan of these Pyramid cases.. but yours really altered my perspective. Really creative and flawlessly pulled off.
Worthy of a nobel prize. every inch of it.
yea,i agree..wit all the hard work and long time building this case,it should be rewarded..i've seen and followed his work log, trial and error at first..remarkable built at the end..i like what he did with all the customized remote hydraulics..and the customized lcd's pcb..brilliant idea..very,very impressive..before i work with my architect cousin..and built a miniature of an hospital here in our city, and taking a long time to built, that's why i understand it's very difficult to build miniatures..specially if mechanisms are applied..overall this case is a head turner..

TNX! I think this is mostly due to the way it's build : Layers.
Through the use of the layers u get much more a depth effect than when u would use straight panels.

woah that is amazing! and you actually built it all by yourself from scratch. :) I give it a 10/10!
You are a genius, not everyone can build something like that from scratch... I am jealous lol. BTW Are you a millionaire?

hehe, i wish i was...:D:D
King WookieThis case is epic! Specs may not be of the best, but flawless execution of the concept.
My first 10/10.
Musselsafter looking at the pics more, i too gave it a 10/10
specs be damned, the unique look and quality of the case just sets it apart. it really is something special.
Specs are never high for a HTPC. Realize that it's major purpose is Home Theather stuff. (vids, music, online vids/trailers etc). For a HTPC it's even overkill.
Any one can put massive stuff in a rectangular big box. It is quite a challenge trying to stuff things into a small space and still manage to keep it cool enough to perform normally as every day PC. Rectangular/box is boring.
TPU should separate this site into two, one with OC (manufactured case), and the other really is about case mod (build from anything else but a PC case).
ZOMG. I have never given out a 10/10 before but you sir are getting the first one. I am completely gobsmacked. Brilliant. And I don't really like Stargate!
If you are reading this thread people, watch the video. It is worth it.

TNX!!
Well lotsa ppl have different opinions on what is a "CaseMod". A majority loves a case mod if it has the latest uberleet hardware in it and did throw in some lights. Look at the ratings this case gets. It rates from 6 to 10. So definitly ppl don't like it and don't see the effort it toke to make it, or ppl rate it a 10 that see the effort (tnx all for that..:D). It's like pantherx12 tells : it is not his taste but still can appreciate it.
Case modding should be were it stands for : modification.
On bit-tech they solved this by adding the tag "scratch build" or "case mod" to every project.
Believe me a pyramid shape has it's challenges and restrictions regarding stuffing a pc in it (i won't do it ever again...:D).
In the end it doesn't matter how anyone regards it. It's you who has to be satisfied on what you did (and I am..:D).

I completely agreed, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I guess we could called it "PC-Mod" for others, however specifically "Case-mod" is about the case art. There are OC-mod which I also appreciate the technical difficulty of cooling. I have couple of cases mod here and I know how difficult it is building crammed case, but I've never voted before. Yours are an exception, I gave it a 10.
@erocker: Yeah it's featured on alot of sites now. I think geeky gadgets initiated this snowball. 10+ pages now if you google "pyramid htpc" ...........weird....
This is one of those truly awe inspiring mods. I have seen a lot of mods and a lot of unique concepts and this is among my top five mods ever seen, easy. I am not even a fan of Stargate, but nothing knocks truly artist talent.
10 from me total Respect. I'm passionate about all things Egyptian , but most of the Pyramid cases I've seen haven't really excited me. This is just outstanding! absolutely awesome :) and thanks for taking the extra time/effort to do such an awesome work-log. A lot of information there that will be so useful to so many people...

People don't leave too many comments on that site, but there are plenty for your build!
Truly awesome stuff!
