The Tegra 4 GPU was a mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched on August 1st, 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Wayne graphics processor, in its Tegra 4 variant, the chip does not support DirectX. Since Tegra 4 GPU does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The Wayne graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 85 mm² and 11 million transistors. It features 48 pixel shaders and 24 vertex shaders, 4 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). NVIDIA has paired 512 MB LPDDR3 memory with the Tegra 4 GPU, which are connected using a 32-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 672 MHz, memory is running at 933 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 20 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device.
