The FirePro W4190M was a professional mobile graphics chip by AMD, launched on November 12th, 2015. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Opal graphics processor, the chip supports DirectX 12. The Opal graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 77 mm² and 950 million transistors. It features 384 shading units, 24 texture mapping units, and 8 ROPs. AMD has paired 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory with the FirePro W4190M, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 825 MHz, which can be boosted up to 900 MHz, memory is running at 1000 MHz (4 Gbps effective). Being a mxm module card, the AMD FirePro W4190M does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is not exactly known. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. FirePro W4190M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 3.0 x8 interface.
