With a response time of 2 ms, it's geared for gaming. Other vital stats include 250 cd/m² of brightness, 1,000:1 static, and 30,000:1 average contrast ratio or ACR (iiyama is modest with this stat). Display inputs include DVI and D-Sub. Its stand allows 90º pivot, tilt and height adjustments by up to 10 cm. The monitor includes 1W internal stereo speakers. NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today the addition of the 23-inch PVA panel MultiSync EX231Wp, which joins the 23-inch TN panel MultiSync EX231W. The inbuilt ECO mode function brings about power savings of up to 30%. Display inputs include DVI and D-Sub. Backed by a 3-year warranty, the Iiyama ProLite E2008HDD-B is priced at $208 in Japan.

Gateway today unveils new models in its Gateway NV Series line of notebook PCs with the latest AMD processors, including new models in AMD's Vision Technology line, which deliver enhanced performance capabilities for mobile computing.

Toshiba Computer Systems, a division of Toshiba Europe GmbH, today announced the Satellite C660. The new laptop is ideal for users looking for a machine with adequate computing performance to handle their everyday computing needs - e.g. e-mailing, web-browsing, standard office applications and basic multimedia entertainment - in a really affordable package. Toshiba also unveiled the new Satellite Pro C660 that is targeted at professional users. Both, the Satellite C660 and the Satellite Pro C660 will be available early in the fourth quarter of 2010 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Dell started adding to its display lineup for fall 2010, the company released four new 16:9 widescreen display models in sizes ranging from 20-inch to 23-inch. The offer starts with the 20-inch IN2020M that has a native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels; 22-inch ST2220M and ST2220L; and 23-inch ST2320L. These three models are full-HD (1920 x 1080) ready. These monitors have dynamic contrast ratios as high as 8,000,000:1, with response times as low as 5 ms. DVI and D-Sub are standard inputs, while the ST2220L and ST2320L add HDMI input to the mix. Expect these models to reach stores in the weeks to come.

NEC is preparing a new professional-grade 27-inch LCD monitor called MultiSync Reference 271. The 271 uses a 10-bit P-IPS panel that give 98% Adobe RGB coverage, for a wide color gamut. The panel has a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees. Its frame design enables pivot at swivel adjustments.

The panel has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 (aspect ratio 16:9), with 5 ms response time. Its static contrast ratio is 1000:1, with a maximum brightness of 360 cd/m². It takes input from D-Sub (analog) and DVI-D or dual DVI. Backed by a 3-year warranty, the MultiSync Reference 271 is up for pre-order for under 1800 EUR.

The CX620MX (15.6") and CX420MX (14"), the latest additions to MSI's C series, are equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v discrete graphics cards with DDR3 512MB of display memory and the all-new Intel Core processor for exceptional multimedia processing performance.

Other important specifications include panel response time of 7 ms (GTG), static contrast ratio of 1000:1, maximum brightness of 300 cd/m², and inputs which include DVI and DisplayPort.

The display has 15 cm height-adjustable stand, which allows the panel to pivot, swivel, and tilt. With its dual inputs, the display offers picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture features.
