Enermax Announces the Revolution DUO Series Power Supplies

ENERMAX brings the dual fan PSU back to the market! REVOLUTION DUO, with 80 PLUS certification, features active ventilation for long-term system stability by adopting two patented Twister Bearing fans which create dynamic airflow with quietness. The comeback of dual-fan PSU is due to increased demand of PSU shroud cases. Although the shroud cases make users more easily to do cable management for a neat and clean build, the confined space will decrease air circulation. The ENERMAX DUOFlow design utilizes the 2nd fan to actively dissipate the hot air and make the airflow management much more effective.

REVOLUTION DUO is equipped with DUOFlow design, consisting of two ENERMAX patented Twister Bearing fans, 1* 10cm intake fan and 1* 8cm exhaust fan. Thanks to active ventilation, DUOFlow makes lower RPM of fans; the use of Twister Bearing technology also delivers a more silent cooling performance compared with regular single fan PSU .

SilverStone Announces SX500-LG Power Supply

For small form factor enthusiasts, the standard SFX power supply form factor has excellent combination of size, power, and affordability. At 100mm deep, however, the standard SFX PSU is also limited in fan size to 80mm. While advances in engineering and components have made modern high-end SFX PSUs quieter than ever, there is still inherent limitation with 80mm fan's ability to dissipate heat at maximum loading conditions while maintaining satisfactory noise profile for users sensitive to higher-pitch sounds. With this in mind, SilverStone has released a "lengthened" variation of the SFX form factor called, SFX-L. With 30mm of added depth, a SFX-L power supply has enough room to fit a 120mm fan, thus its maximum load noise can be not only lower in intensity (via slower fan speed), but also lower in pitch (due to larger fan size).

The first model to debut in the SFX-L will be the SX500-LG, a 500W model that includes all features available from top of the line SFX SilverStone PSUs such as 80 PLUS Gold efficiency, modular flexible flat cables, and semi-fanless capability. An ATX adapter bracket is included as well to enable users to install this PSU into any small or even larger cases that do not have SFX mounting holes.

EVGA Unveils a Trio of 1600W PSUs

EVGA unveiled no less than three new 1600W power supplies at Computex, including the Supernova 1600 G2 (recently announced), the Supernova 1600 T2, and the Supernova 1600 P2. Their model names should be a dead giveaway on how the three differ from each other. While the 1600 G2 lives up to 80 Plus Gold efficiency standards, the 1600 P2 scores 80 Plus Platinum, and the 1600 T2 80 Plus Titanium. The three feature nearly identical power-distribution diagrams, feature-sets; although we're not sure if the P2 and T2 translate their higher efficiency into more output connectors. Either of the three should be good enough for systems with four R9 290X, or two R9 295X2 graphics cards; but we guess the 1600 P2 and 1600 T2 should appeal to professional overclockers who also plan to throw 150W TDP Core i7-5960X "Haswell-E" into the mix.

EVGA Launches the SuperNOVA 1600 G2 Power Supply

EVGA has now officially introduced its newest SuperNOVA Series power supply, a model codenamed 120-G2-1600-X1 that has 80 PLUS Gold certification and a total output of 1600 W.
