In Win Debuts Saturn ASN120 Case Fans with Thin, Translucent, Illuminated Frames

In Win today debuted its Saturn line of case fans with the Saturn ASN120, a 25 mm-thick 120 mm case fan that's characterized by a thin, translucent, and illuminated fan-frame. While the frame has no LEDs of its own, refractive grooves along its bore diffuse light from the bright eight ARGB LEDs located in the fan hub. The Saturn ASN120 comes in single-unit and 3-piece packs that. The 3-piece pack includes an ARGB controller module.

As for vital stats, the In Win Saturn ASN120 takes in 4-pin PWM for its main function and 3-pin ARGB for the illumination; spinning between 500 to 1,800 RPM, with a max airflow of 77.17 CFM and 3.12 mm H₂O maximum static pressure. Its maximum noise output rated by its maker is 35 dBA. The fan frame features rubberized mounts that dampen vibration. In Win is planning to launch the larger sibling of this fan, the 140 mm Saturn ASN140, later this year. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Cougar Intros DarkBlader X7 Mid-tower Case

Cougar today released yet another variation of its DarkBlader line of ATX mid-tower cases that feature an asymmetric trapezioid front panel design, following last week's release of the DarkBlader X5. The X7 is nearly identical to the X5 from last week, including the translucent (frost finish) larger half of the front-panel. Where it differs is the smaller half featuring a vertical ARGB lighting strip at the front intake; and the inclusion of one 120 mm ARGB fan instead of three, pre-installed at the rear vent. The translucent front panel comes in two trims, "midnight green" and "translucent black." These aside, the DarkBlader X7 is identical in every way to not just the DarkBlader X5, but also the original DarkBlader series from 2019.

ID-Cooling Announces IceFlow 240 ARGB CPU Cooler

ID-COOLING, a cooling solution provider focusing on thermal dissipation and fan technology research and production for over 10 years, announced ICEFLOW 240 ARGB AIO water cooler, featuring a brand new pump on radiator design and newly developed ICEFAN 240 mm. ICEFLOW 240 is equipped with a brand new pump which is built into the side of the radiator. With flow rate reaching up to 240 l/h, lift range 1.8 m H2O, the coolant circulates quickly to help moving the heat from CPU to radiator. Power connector is 3-pin with a 3-pin to Molex adapter to help ensure 12 V constant input to ensure maximum cooling performance.

The newly developed ICEFAN 240 fan features two fan blades in one frame. Two fan blades shares one PWM input and one ARGB input cables. Fan speed is PWM controlled from 900 to 2000RPM, pushing max. airflow of 56.5CFM each. Rubber dampeners on fan frame are provided to absorb vibration to lower operation noise.

Cougar Introduces the DarkBlader X5 Mid-tower Case

Cougar today expanded its DarkBlader line of asymmetric front-panel mid-tower cases with the new DarkBlader X5. This case retains the core design of the older DarkBlader series cases, with a handful changes: firstly, the larger trapezium-shaped half of the front facade is a tinted, translucent (frost finish) plastic surface, instead of a solid slab of metal-finish plastic. The smaller half has three large air intakes for the fans inside. The DarkBlader X5 by default doesn't include front fans, but its slightly pricier DarkBlader X5 RGB variant include three. The RGB variant also includes a 6-channel ARGB lighting controller, and a front-panel switch that lets you toggle between several lighting presets. Both the base- and RGB variants further come in two color-based sub-variants: black and white. These aside, the DarkBlader X5 has identical dimensions and features to the original DarkBlader series. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Lian Li Launching a Budget-Friendly PC Case With the LANCOOL 215

Lian Li is known at the higher-than-mainstream pricing bracket of the PC case world. The company made a name for itself with innovative-looking, angled motherboard brackets and well thought-out and engineered case layouts and materials, but has usually served the higher end of the spectrum. The company seems to be dipping its toes ever more slightly in the budget-friendly space with it's LANCOOL 215, though, which is bound to be releases this August.

The LANCOOL 215 will offer support for both standard and EATX motherboards, with the system being cooled by 2x 200 mm ARGB front fans that pull fresh (fresher in some places around the globe) air from outside the case through a perforated front panel. Hot air is then exhausted through a pre-installed rear 120 mm fan (non-RGB). A 360 mm radiator is supported in the front of the chassis, while the top supports a 280 mm one for added flexibility. But some would argue that having a good case for your PC hardware isn't enough unless you can showcase your PC hardware picks for your current build, so the LANCOOL 215 uses a tempered glass side panel for added "cool" factor. There's also an ARGB Lian Li logo on the bottom of the front fascia of the LANCOOL 215, and a PSU shroud which is practically standard these days. The best news? The LANCOOL 215 from Lian Li will be available for $69.99.

The nickel plating now extends to the six 6 mm copper heat pipes (the Grandis 2 uses exposed copper).

The other, more noticeable design change, is the ventilation. The cooler now includes a pair of Pulsar HP ARGB fans. The "push" fan outside the first fin-stack is 120 mm, while the "pull" fan between the two fin-stacks is 140 mm. Both fans feature hydraulic bearings rated for 50,000 hours. The 120 mm "push" fan spins between 250 to 1,600 RPM, while the 140 mm "pull" fan does 250 to 1,400 RPM. The company didn't put out air-flow or noise output figures. The cooler has a thermal capacity of 250 W TDP, and supports several modern CPU socket types including LGA1151, LGA1200, LGA2066, and AM4. Both fans feature standard 3-pin ARGB connections for the lighting. The fan impellers and frames are made of a translucent white material that acts as diffusers for light from the diodes located in the fan hub. Measuring 159 mm x 140 mm x 131 mm (HxWxD) with its fan installed, the Grandis 3 EVO ARGB weighs 961 g, and is in fact lighter than its predecessor.
