Unfortunately, OcUK has implemented dreaded price hikes across its Radeon RX 9070 Series product listings. As we have witnessed in the past few weeks, leaked retailer listings are undoubtedly an interesting way to gain more information regarding upcoming hardware. A set of recent listings by the retailer PC21, as well as Acer Hong Kong, have revealed some details regarding the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop and RTX 5050 Laptop GPUs. First of all, it appears that we now have concrete information regarding the launch date for the RTX 5060 laptop GPU. Those who demand more than just 8 GB of VRAM will have to shell out extra for the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop, which is expected to ship with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory on a 192 bit bus. As for pricing, the leaked MSI VenturePro 16 with a Core 7 240H CPU, 16 GB DDR5 memory, 512 GB SSD and an RTX 5050 Laptop GPU is seemingly priced at €1580, or roughly $1720. Clearly, even the lowest-end of Blackwell GPUs are all set to boast price tags lofty enough to make even those with deep pockets weep.

A curiously-specced Acer Nitro N50 (N50-656) pre-built gaming PC system was spotted and then reported online, courtesy of momomo_us's diligent eye—trained on all manner of international retail and e-tail webstores. EvoPC—a small indie outfit, located in Nancy, France—has inadvertently hinted about a potential upcoming launch of NVIDIA's unannounced GeForce RTX 5060 model. VideoCardz believes that Team Green will be unveiling the lower end of its gaming-oriented "Blackwell" GPU product stack.

An imminent announcement—reportedly marked down for this week—could include another GB203-based variant; the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti—in addition, they reckon that NVIDIA will reveal a next-gen "entry-mainstream" offering; in the shape of GeForce RTX 5050. Comprehensive details leaked onto the internet over the past weekend. EvoPC's webshop advertises the "currently unavailable" Acer Nitro N50-656 system with a steep €1589 (~$1735 USD) price tag (subject to change). Their basic rundown of internal parts lists: an Intel Core i7-14700F processor, 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5 RAM, and NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with 8 GB of GDDR7 SDRAM.

Last week, Acer registered a glut of new graphics card SKUs—an extensive EEC filing revealed several unannounced Nitro and Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 9060 XT models. Going back to RDNA 3, Team Red released its Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU in 16 GB form, while the cheaper Radeon RX 7600 made do with a VRAM pool of 8 GB. An unnamed board partner's list of launch day offerings reportedly contains basic technical specs (see screenshot below).

Leaked Radeon RX 9060 XT details show 16 GB GDDR6 and 8 GB GDDR6 variants, with 128-bit memory interfaces. VideoCardz believes that 20 Gbps memory chips will be utilized, as featured on recently launched Radeon RX 9070 series cards. The leaked product list indicates that required juice will be delivered through a lone 8-pin power connector; a minimum PSU requirement suggestion is 500 W, although this could jump up to 550 W for factory overlocked SKUs. A speculative "Navi 48 LE" GPU variant is present within TechPowerUp's GPU database entry for the Radeon RX 9060 XT. VideoCardz reckons that a "Navi 44" GPU would be more appropriate for this class; perhaps derived from a mobile part. The leak suggests the presence of a single HDMI 2.1 port, as well as two DP 2.1 ports—a smaller GPU would have trouble driving more than that. In search of concrete evidence, harukaze5719 turned to a trusty source of pre-launch info: EEC registries.

Earlier today, the South Korean PC hardware enthusiast discovered freshly-lodged Acer model names and codes. Easily identifiable unannounced SKUs include the Predator BiFrost RX 9060 XT OC 16 GB and RX 9060 XT OC 8 GB cards. Various "AN-RX9060XT-XXX-OCC" and "PB-RX9060XT-XXX-OCC" identifiers suggest a well-populated lineup of "Acer Nitro" and "Predator BiFrost" budget-friendly options. The Taiwanese manufacturer has already launched related Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 models at retail. According to the VideoCardz insider network, Team Red and board partners are tipped to release the cheaper end of RDNA 4 in April. The Radeon RX 9060 Series could launch within the same timeframe as rumored 16 GB and 8 GB GeForce RTX 5060 variants.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Acer CEO and chairman Jason Chen said that its products made in the PRC will see a price increase of 10 percent as direct results of the new tariffs that the US will levy on electronics. However, Mr Chen is quoted as saying "We think 10 percent probably will be the default price increase because of the import tax." which doesn't mean it will be exactly 10 percent, as it might vary a bit between product segments. That said, what's clear is that Acer and most likely every other company that manufactures hardware in the PRC aren't going to eat any of the tariffs, as the companies appear to be shifting the burden of the new tariffs straight over to the end consumers. Mr Chen also suggested that some companies might be increasing their pricing by more than 10 percent.

The price increase will happen over time, as the new tariffs won't affect products that have left the PRC before the end of February. Alongside Acer, which is the fifth-biggest computer brand in the US market, it's likely that Dell, HP and Lenovo, as well as Apple, are going to hike their prices by the same 10 percent or more. Acer moved the assembly of its desktop computers out of the PRC during Trump's previous term, when a 25 percent tariff was imposed. Now Acer is looking at moving at least some additional parts of its productions out of the PRC and the US is on the table for some of its products. Considering that some 80 percent of all laptops imported to the US are made in the PRC, the Consumer Trade Association is expecting the new tariffs to cost US consumers some US$143 billion, which it assumes will lead to a slump in sales of consumer electronics.

Acer has jumped the gun and listed its ACER Predator Orion 7000 systems with the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 50 series graphics cards, namely the GeForce RTX 5080 and the GeForce RTX 5090. In addition, the listing confirms that the GeForce RTX 5080 will come with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, while the GeForce RTX 5090 will get 32 GB of GDDR7 memory.
