Thermaltake Coolers Support New-Gen Intel and AMD CPUs

Taipei, Taiwan-September 5th, 2024-Thermaltake, a leading PC DIY brand for premium hardware solutions, is pleased to announce that a total of 71 cooling products are fully compatible with the latest Intel Arrow Lake-S and AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors. The upcoming Intel 15th Gen CPUs feature the new LGA 1851 socket and retain compatibility with the LGA 1700 socket.

Meanwhile, the AMD Ryzen 9000 series is continually designed with the AM5 socket. This indicates that users can seamlessly upgrade to the brand-new Intel and AMD CPUs while pairing up with the existing Thermaltake coolers. Regardless of air coolers, all-in-one liquid coolers, or water blocks, Thermaltake offers a wide range of superior cooling solutions to these next-gen processors.

Valkyrie CPU Coolers at Computex 2024: Color Screens Make it to Air Coolers

Valkyrie brought an exhaustive lineup of CPU coolers to the 2024 Computex. This is also the only manufacturer we've come across that put a color display on top of a tower-type CPU cooler, a feature that've we've seen catch on with nearly every AIO liquid CPU cooler manufacturer. There are air coolers with displays on top, but those are LED segment displays putting out basic information such as temperature readings from ACPI. The company displayed an aluminium fin-stack cooler with a large top-plate that has a color display embedded in it, under its Loki brand. The top-plate is wider than the heatsink, but matches the width of the cooler when you install a 120 mm fan. So for those squeamish about liquid cooling, here's a neat alternative.

The Valkyrie Loki series also includes air coolers without this display, replaced by anime art and ARGB LED diffusers. We've seen single fin-stack coolers with dual-fan ventilation (push-pull), and dual fin-stack coolers under the Loki, Merlin, and Mist brands. Switching gears to the liquid cooling lineup, and we see the all-black Valkyrie Dracula, characterized by high static-pressure fluid dynamic bearing fans, and a concealing side mounts for the fans that give the three individual fans the appearance of a compound fan. The model shown at Computex featured a 360 mm x 120 mm radiator.

GAMDIAS Embeds LCD Screens on Air and AIO Coolers at Computex 2024

At Computex 2024, GAMDIAS had a booth showcasing their newest cooling solutions. First up, the BOREAS P2-82L Dual-Tower Air Cooler combines high-end cooling performance with a touch of modern flair. Boasting a dual-tower heatsink with eight copper heat pipes and a copper base plate, it ensures efficient heat dissipation from even the most demanding processors. However, what truly sets this cooler apart is its integrated LCD monitor, which allows users to monitor system temperatures and enjoy animated displays, adding a touch of personalization to their setups. Wrapped in a sleek all-black finish, the BOREAS P2-82L is designed for CPUs with high TDPs cooled by air.

Not to be outdone, the GAMDIAS CHIONE M4 ELITE Series LCD Liquid Cooler has also appeared with an exciting design. This liquid cooler is available in 360 mm and 240 mm black/white variants and features an upgraded fluid running system that delivers exceptional thermal performance. Designed with a patented PWM pump and hydraulic PWM fans, the M4 ELITE promises whisper-quiet operational efficiency while maintaining a clean, clutter-free aesthetic thanks to its hidden cable routing. However, the true standout feature is the 3.4-inch LCD on the CPU pump/block combo, which can be customized using the ZEUS CAST software with real-time monitoring data and personalized backgrounds.

Endorfy backs the LIV Plus Wireless with a 2-year warranty.

Lamptron ST060 Dual-Tower Air Cooler Sports Full HD 6-inch Screen

CaseKing.de has started to sell a gigantic Lamptron ST060 dual-tower CPU air cooler for €299.90 (~$325) with VAT added. Many PC hardware news sites have predicted that this sizable—153 × 152 × 120 mm (W x H x D)—cooling solution is worthy of taking on similarly proportioned competition. CaseKing's listing includes some hype material: "(the ST060) offers extremely high cooling performance thanks to its six heat pipes and two PWM RGB fans. With a 260 W TDP, the cooler is also very quiet and has immense cooling reserves for overclocked CPUs and, despite its size, can be installed even with the mainboard installed." The integrated 6-inch 1920x1080 screen is the ST060's other selling point—DeepCool's (recently TPU reviewed) AK620 dual-tower cooler sports a large-ish top-mounted mini monitor, although its functionality is quite limited. Lamptron states that their new model is prepped for full AIDA64 integration; a license for this software suite is bundled in.

The integrated screen requires connection to USB Type-A and HDMI ports—perhaps a major annoyance—fortunately mini USB to USB and HDMI cables are included in the box. Additionally, software and digital instructions are uploaded onto a bundled USB-A flash drive. The base Lamptron ST060 model is joined by ARGB equipped alternatives—CaseKing has a product page for a black fan version (LAMP-ST060AB, also priced at €299.90), but it is not available to purchase yet. Tom's Hardware believes that a white fan model (LAMP-ST060AW) is also incoming—they documented some basic aesthetic differences: "In addition to the fans being different, the ARGB versions have a silver heatsink as opposed to the black heatsink on the regular version." Lamptron's ST060 air cooler appears to be an Intel socket-centric product, with support for LGA1366, LGA1200, LGA115x, LGA1700, and LGA2011. Team Red enthusiasts will be disappointed about compatibility being limited to AM4. Overclocking.com expressed surprise regarding Lamptron's re-emergence with new products—many assumed that the company was in a dormant state for a long time.

Thermaltake Unveils New ASTRIA Series Air Cooler Lineup at CES 2024

Thermaltake has unveiled and launched its newest ASTRIA Series air coolers at CES 2024 show, including ASTRIA 200, ASTRIA 400, and ASTRIA 600 ARGB coolers. The ASTRIA ARGB Series is based on the standard tower design, where the ASTRIA 200 ARGB and ASTRIA 400 ARGB stick to a single-tower, single-fan design, while the ASTRIA 600 ARGB uses a dual-tower, dual-fan design. The ASTRIA 200 ARGB uses four 6 mm U-shaped heatpipes, while ASTRIA 400 ARGB and ASTRIA 600 ARGB feature six of the same heatpipes.

The entire lineup support the latest Intel and AMD sockets, and can support up to 210 W, 230 W, and 265 W TDP CPUs, respectively. What makes the ASTRIA ARGB cooler lineup special is th fact that you can adjust the fan position to align it with the height of memory, providing some additional flexibility with installation. The ASTRIA ARGB cooler lineup also features the new Meteor Shower lighting effects, thanks to 18 LEDs located on the top cover and sync them with 9 LEDs on the CT120 ARBG fans.
