Lian Li Announces the PC-T70 Open-Bench Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is eager to announce the PC-T70 test bench. After productive collaboration, taking feedback from high-end PC hardware reviewers, Lian Li sought to create a test bench that could both provide unhindered access for enthusiasts who want to rapidly swap hardware, and those who like to use their test benches as a workstation. Lian Li's latest test bench is its most flexible yet - a sleek, minimal platform for easy hardware swapping, with an optional kit that encloses the bench with radiator mounts and an acrylic cover.

"Testing on an open bench requires careful planning, else it leads to misguided results. Most gamers have closed cases, affecting thermal, acoustic, and even performance results compared to exposed hardware. I'm working to represent that more accurately. While my measurements are easier to collect, more applicable, and completely objective, it was the close cooperation with Lian Li that helped move this project forward. The closed case gave me the platform I've been needing, and that readers have been asking for, to facilitate more realistic reviews." - Igor Wallossek - Senior Contributing Editor Tom's Hardware.

DeepCool Shows Off its QuadStellar Chassis

Building on the legacy of its TriStellar series cases, DeepCool unveiled the bigger, four-lobed QuadStellar chassis. Unlike the TriStellar, which housed mini-ITX motherboards, the QuadStellar is much larger, and designed for full-fledged ATX motherboards. The central axis to the four lobes is more functional than it is on the TriStellar, as two opposing lobes can now meet in the middle to make up a large continuous chamber to house the ATX motherboard, and its 8 expansion slots. One of the other two lobes houses the PSU bay with a few drive bays; while the other lobe has three additional PCI-Express x16 slot risers, and a few more drive bays. The case measures 523 mm x 485 mm x 485 mm. It features nine 3.5-inch and twelve 2.5-inch drive bays. DeepCool plans to launch this case by May 2017.

DeepCool Also Intros the New Ark 90 Chassis

DeepCool also unveiled its glassy New Ark 90 chassis, with factory-fitted CPU liquid cooling. DeepCool Intros the Baroncase Liquid Chassis

DeepCool introduced a new line of cases with factory-fitted CPU liquid cooling, beginning with the Baroncase Liquid. This ATX mid-tower chassis appears short, but that's because its PSU bay is located where you'd expect a 5.25-inch drive cage to be. DeepCool is marketing it as a micro-ATX case, which happens to support ATX motherboards. You'll notice that it has just 5 expansion slot covers. You get room for the two extra expansion slots (of ATX boards) by removing one of two 3.5-inch drive stacks lined along the base.

The PSU (not included) stands vertical near the front portion of the case, with its fan intake facing forwards (through the front panel). The included DeepCool Captain 120EX AIO liquid cooler features RGB LED lighting on its pump+block assembly, and its 120 mm radiator comes factory-fitted to the top exhaust. One of the case's 2.5-inch drive bays is lined on top of the side drive cage, so it's visible through the tempered-glass side-panel. Available from April 2017, the Baroncase Liquid is expected to be priced at US $130.

The rest of its specifications are unchanged from the original Metis.

Measuring 190 mm x 277 mm x 254 mm (WxDxH), and weighing in at 2.12 kg, the Metis Plus features an "upside-down" (left-side) oriented mini-ITX motherboard tray, with clearance for graphics cards as long as 17 cm, and CPU coolers as tall as 16 cm. It features a concealed standard ATX PSU bay, with an AC receptacle and internal cord conveying power to the PSU. The case can either hold four 2.5-inch + one 3.5-inch drives at a time, or two each of 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives.
