Alphacool Releases Eisblock ES Acetal Water Blocks for RTX 3090 and RTX 3080

Today, Alphacool presents its latest RTX 3080 GPU cooling block for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition to pre-order. Delivery is expected to start at the end of October. This cooler covers all the necessary components that require cooling. This includes the voltage converters, graphics memory and of course the GPU. All known hotspots of the graphics cards are completely cooled with water. Alphacool includes special 1 mm thick Ultra Soft thermal pads with this GPU cooler. As the name suggests, these are very soft and nestle perfectly to the components to be cooled. When the thermal pads heat up, the consistency and behavior is more like a thermal paste than a thermal pad. This of course has a positive effect on heat dissipation and is thermally far superior to standard thermal pads.

Alphacool Introduces Eiswolf 2 Fullcover GPU AIO

[Editor's note: Our detailed review can be seen here. Alphacool also tells us that the Eiswolf 2 goes on sale from July 30.]

Alphacool presents the first full cover AIO water cooler for graphics cards. The Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO combines the advantage of a DIY water cooling with the simplicity of an expandable all-in-one water cooling. Key Features:- Alphacool Eisblock Aurora GPX DIY graphics card cooler. The core elements of every All-In-On are the cooler, the radiator and of course the pump. The new DC-LT 2 pump has been equipped with new control electronics compared to the previous model and is, among other things, much quieter in operation than its predecessor.

The radiator is a NexXxoS ST30 240 mm copper radiator, one of the most popular DIY radiators on the market. The Alphacool Aurora Lux Pro 120 mm fans are used as fans. They have comprehensive 5 V digital RGB lighting. These LEDs are also used in the graphics card cooler. The GPU block is a real Eisblock Aurora that Alphacool offers for DIY custom loops. The only difference is that the terminal has been replaced by the discreet pump unit. This means that Alphacool can offer all custom graphics card models that also receive a normal DIY water cooler as Eiswolf 2 coolers also. This means that you get an AIO unit that has no disadvantages in cooling performance compared to DIY water coolers.

This sleek and fully encased 280 mm all-in-one liquid cooler comes ready-to-go out of the box and features an expandable all copper design. Rather than use ordinary fans, Alphacool has partnered with be quiet! to deliver high-quality, low noise cooling with two 140 mm Silent Wing 3 fans taking center stage. They max out at 1300 RPM. The quick release fittings provided for expansion with Eisbaer ready products have also seen improvements in terms of appearance. The matte black tubing features a high kink resistance, while the rest of the fittings are of course industry standard G1/4".

Cooling of the CPU is handled by Alphacool's Eisblock XPX which is the same here as what they sell directly for those building custom loops. Alphacool Presents the Eisblock Flatboy Waterblock for Socket TR4 Systems

Alphacool has been growing their product portfolio immensely as of late, and now, the company is teasing the Eisblock Flatboy, the company's specifically-designed waterblock for AMD's Ryzen Threadripper CPUs. Threadripper CPUs have one of the biggest surface areas ever encountered in a consumer processor; because of that, not all cooling solutions are appropriate to cool the up-to 16 cores and 32 threads monsters, with a higher surface area than normal being needed.

Still in the prototype phase, the Eisblock Flatboy integrates a reverse, silent flow pump system, like the company has already introduced on their Eiswolf product. The prototype as is seems to obstruct clearance for the rightmost DIMM slot to the left of the CPU socket, which shouldn't pose a problem for some people, but would be an extremely sore point for prospective buyers should that design decision overflow towards the final version.
