EVGA Offers Monster Hunter: World Free With Select EVGA GeForce GTX 10-Series Cards

(Update: Apparently, this isn't an EVGA-exclusive campaign; as it has been noted in the comments, NVIDIA themselves have launched a page with this same promotion and conditions for the free copy of Monster Hunter: World. It appears EVGA just added its own branding to an NVIDIA and partner-wide promotion).

EVGA has just announced a promotion where users that buy qualifying 10-series NVIDIA graphics cards (EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, 1070, or 1060 6 GB) can get a digital copy of Monster Hunter: World for free. Monster Hunter: World released to critical and consumer acclaim not that many months ago, and was received quite well in our own performance review. The game doesn't incorporate any of the 20-series exclusive RTX graphics effects and raytracing processing, so an offering with the 10-series cards isn't a bad deal - especially as it's likely to help move volume of the previous-gen cards quicker along EVGA's warehouses.

ELSA Releases GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB ST Graphics Card

After releasing their GTX 1080 Ti on December 2017 (a little late when it comes to this particular GPU, I'd say), ELSA is now launching a new (late) addition in the form of the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB ST. It sports the exact same cooler design as the GTX 1080 Ti they've previously released (if it isn't broken, don't fix it or spend money improving it), and the exact same port distribution as the GTX 1080 Ti (3x DisplayPort, 1x Dual link DVI-D, and 1x HDMI 2.0b). All in all, this is a pretty vanilla release, the kind of which ELSA seems to favor, even if months behind other competitors.

NVIDIA "Pascal" and AMD "Vega" Graphics Card Prices Sizzle Stateside

Over the 2018 International CES week, prices of performance-segment and high-end graphics card prices have taken flight on US-based online retailers. Prices of the recently-launched GeForce GTX 1070 Ti ($380-ish launch price) cards are touching, $900; those of the GTX 1080 (non-Ti) are over the $1,000-mark, while the GTX 1080 Ti is out of stock in many places. Prices of the GTX 1060 series is still under the $300-mark, but are beginning to rise. AMD's Radeon RX Vega family is either out of stock, or over the $1,000-mark. A combination of crypto-currency mining craze, coupled with reports of graphics card prices rising over 2018 could be behind this rally.

EVGA Announces GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW Ultra Silent Graphics Card

EVGA debuted a new graphics card sub-brand, the FTW Ultra Silent, with a new custom-design GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, the EVGA GTX 1070 Ti Ultra Silent FTW. This 3-slot thick card has a chunkier aluminium fin-stack heatsink, and has a higher fan cutoff threshold than other cards from EVGA, such as the GTX 1070 Ti FTW2. So the card's fans stay off not just when the GPU is idling, but also when it's under load, until it reaches a higher temperature threshold.

As with every other GTX 1070 Ti card launched till date, the card ships with NVIDIA reference clock speeds of 1607 MHz core, 1683 MHz GPU Boost, and 8.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. It draws power from a pair of 8-pin PCIe power inputs, and display connectors include three DP and one each of HDMI and DVI. The card is sold out on EVGA's online store, where it was priced USD $499.

GIGABYTE Intros Aorus GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Graphics Card

GIGABYTE introduced its third custom-design GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card following the GTX 1070 Ti Gaming, and GTX 1070 Ti WindForce 2X; this one labeled under its premium Aorus brand. The Aorus GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card features reference clock speeds of 1607 MHz core, 1683 MHz GPU Boost, and 8.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory, just like the other two, since NVIDIA doesn't allow factory-overclocked GTX 1070 Ti graphics cards. The Aorus GTX 1070 Ti features a different PCB and cooler to those of the GIGABYTE GTX 1070 Ti Gaming.

The cooler's underlying aluminium fin-stack heatsink is the same, and is ventilated by a trio of 80 mm fans; but the cooler shroud is different, and is studded with RGB LED elements, including a multi-color Aorus logo on the top. These LEDs can be configured using GIGABYTE RGB Fusion software. The back-plate is different, too, and features a copper plate over the reverse side of the GPU, which draws heat from behind the GPU via a thermal pad, dissipates it along the metal back-plate. The card still draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, but the PCB features a 6+2 phase VRM with higher-capacity chokes than the GIGABYTE Gaming card. Display outputs still include three DisplayPorts and one each of HDMI and DVI. This will be GIGABYTE's most expensive GTX 1070 Ti offering.

ASUS Intros GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Cerberus Graphics Card

ASUS today introduced the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Cerberus graphics card (model: CERBERUS-GTX1070TI-A8G), designed for gaming iCafes, or those wanting a graphics card that can game for hours on end. ASUS tests each of these cards with a 144-hour burn-in, and rates them to be "15x more durable than industry standards." The card combines a new 2.5-slot thick cooling solution, with a custom-design PCB. The cooler is standard-height, featuring an aluminium fin-stack DirectCU heatsink, ventilated by a pair of 80 mm fans, which stay off when the GPU is idling. There's also a full-length back-plate.

The custom-design PCB is standard-height, and draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. It uses a 6+1 phase VRM to power the card. The card ships with NVIDIA-reference clock speeds of 1607 MHz core, 1683 MHz GPU Boost, and 8.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory, since NVIDIA doesn't allow factory-overclocked GTX 1070 Ti cards. Display outputs include two each of HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4, and a dual-link DVI. The company will price this card below its ROG Strix graphics cards.

Gigabyte Releases New GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Model - Windforce 2X

Gigabyte has added a new custom option to its GeForce GTX 1070 Ti line-up - this time, a dual-fan solution under the "WindForce 2X" moniker (SKU code GV -N107TWF2-8GD). This graphics card takes very much after its slightly less beefy cousin, the GTX 1070 WindForce 2X, in that it features a simpler, more compact WindForce 2X cooling solution than the WindForce 3X, with a twin aluminum-fin stack heatsink ventilated by a pair of 90 mm fans, which stay off when the card is idling. Power is taken from both the PCIe slot and 1x 8-pin power connector.

Like other GTX 1070 Ti solutions before it, the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Ti WindForce 2X graphics card features a software toggle that activates a "Software OC Mode", which essentially activates a factory overclock that Gigabyte (like all other NVIDIA AIB partners) can't ship their GTX 1070 Ti with. The Core clock under "Gaming Mode" is 1,607 MHz base and 1,683 MHz boost, which are slightly brought up to 1,632 MHz base and 1,721 MHz boost under the "Software OC Mode". Memory clock stands at 8GB GDDR5 running at 8 GHz through a 256-bit bus. Display outputs are 1x Dual Link DVI-D, 1x HDMI, 3x DisplayPort.

NVIDIA Announces the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Graphics Card

NVIDIA today announced a refresh of the performance-segment of its graphics card lineup, with the new GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. This card is positioned to fill the rather large performance and price/performance gap between the GTX 1070 and the GTX 1080. Based on the same "GP104" silicon as those two, the GTX 1070 Ti makes the "Pascal" architecture look fresh again, in the wake of AMD's Radeon RX Vega family launch. The GTX 1070 Ti is endowed with 2,432 CUDA cores, just 128 fewer than the GTX 1080. Its TMU count is proportionally lower at 152 (out of 160). It carries over its entire memory sub-system from the GTX 1070, in featuring 8 GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 8.00 GHz, which works out to a memory bandwidth of 256 GB/s.

The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti also features marginally lower clock speeds than the GTX 1080, with its core clocked at 1607 MHz, with a GPU Boost frequency of 1683 MHz, compared to the 1506/1683 MHz clocks of the GTX 1070, and the 1607/1733 MHz of the GTX 1080. So it has the nominal clocks of the GTX 1080 and the GPU Boost clocks of the GTX 1070. NVIDIA appears to have a limited stash of GTX 1070 Ti Founders Edition (reference-design) cards, although it's unclear if the company will sell them as a separate SKU. The MSRP for this SKU is USD $429. NVIDIA's AIC (add-in card) partners will roll out their custom-design cards immediately.

MSI, PALIT, ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Graphics Cards Also Pictured

Videocardz does a great job on putting their hands on as-of-yet unreleased pictures of upcoming GPUs, and this time, they've brought out some more custom takes on NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card from MSI, PALIT, and yet more ZOTAC models. MSI has shown their red and black color scheme yet again on their Gaming model; lower in the product stack comes the Armor model, with its black and white color scheme; and finally, there's the blower-type Aero version of the GTX 1070 Ti.

PALIT hasn't shown their hand on the blower-style GTX 1070 Ti, which they almost assuredly have; however, there are some pictures fo two of their custom models. There's a Dual-Fan model with the same name, and another, slightly higher-tier looking JetStream version, which likely brings some RGB elements and a custom PCB - likely, the GTX 1070 Ti version of their GTX 1080 JetStream graphics card.

PNY, ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Cards Pictured

Leaks and product images of NVIDIA's upcoming GTX 1070 Ti graphics card continue to surface from all manufacturers. This time, it's two PNY graphics card models, and one ZOTAC that have found themselves brought to the limelight. The PNY models don't deviate too much from the already known leaks: they follow the same engineering pattern of one blower-style cooled graphics card, marrying NVIDIA's reference design with some different aesthetics engineering from the AIB partners, and one fully custom model. PNY's particular take on the custom model features only two fans, which seems to make this design a distinct one from the fully custom, three-fan XLR8 design they had for the GTX 1070 (non Ti version).

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Graphics Cards Pictures Out in the Wild

The GTX 1070 Ti is likely one of the worst kept secrets in recent history of graphics cards launches - whether by accident or design, only NVIDIA fully knows. Now, it's EVGA's lineup of graphics cards based on this overpowered version of the GTX 1070 graphics card that has surfaced. No less than four different models have been pictured, which still likely don't represent the entirety of EVGA's lineup for this particular piece of GP-104 silicon.

Besides a simple, blower-type design, akin to today's leak of ASUS's GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Turbo Edition, EVGA will be launching at least three different SKUs with their signature ICX cooler design series, with varying levels of customization on the PCB and power delivery designs.

KFA2 GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Smiles for the Camera

Here are some of the first pictures of a custom-design NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, the KFA2 GTX 1070 Ti EX. For one, these pictures confirm the branding of NVIDIA "almost GTX 1080" SKU, positioned between its performance-segment GeForce GTX 1070, and its high-end GTX 1080. The KFA2 card ships with clock speeds of 1607 MHz core, 1683 MHz GPU Boost, and 8.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory, which works out to a memory bandwidth of 256 GB/s.

Based on the "GP104" silicon, the GTX 1070 Ti packs 2,432 CUDA cores, 152 TMUs, 64 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 8 GB of memory. The KFA2 card draws power from a combination of 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe power connectors, conditioning it with a 7-phase VRM. An aluminium fin-stack heatsink to which heat drawn directly from the GPU and ventilated by a pair of 100 mm fans, keeps the card cool. The VRM is cooled by a secondary heatsink, while the memory is cooled passively. Display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.4, and one each of HDMI 2.0 and dual-link DVI-D. The card is expected to launch on October 26.
