Kinesis Gaming is a new entrant in the ergonomic gaming hardware market, and launched the first of its two debut products, the Freestyle Edge RGB split mechanical keyboard (the other being the Vektor mouse). The keyboard features a tenkeyless layout that's split vertically along the middle, with a 6-inch cable connecting the two halves. An internal compartment located at the top lets you wind in excess cable. This split allows you to angle the two halves apart to better align with your hands, and minimize strain on your wrists. Adding to the ergonomics of the Freestyle Edge RGB are its soft-touch wrist-rests.

Readers of our website may be familiar with the Wooting brand for their then, and now, excellent Wooting One analog keyboard that we examined in late 2017. It impressed us enough to be the top keyboard for the year as well, and still remains one of the few keyboards to offer analog control at all, let alone on every single switch it is on. The company has since come out with a full-size Wooting Two, along with another switch option using a heavier spring. Their switches to date are linear optical switches manufactured by Flaretech to Wooting's design, and the company admitted there was not much more they could do with the current design. This brought us to Computex 2019, wherein they demonstrated their next generation switches for analog control, gave us some samples to take apart, and also showed off a neat prototype technology for the future- if it pans out, anyway.

The Hall effect has been used for keyboard switches in the past, as much as nearly four decades ago, no matter what some people may tell you when describing Steelseries' new switch from Computex also based off the Hall effect. Indeed, it had a small resurgence a couple of years ago in the enthusiast keyboard arena when "Ace Pad" and "XMIT" worked together for a Massdrop-exclusive keyboard, but 2019 does seem to be the year they come back in the public eye. Wooting's take is called the Lekker switch, a word in Dutch that can stand for different things depending on the context but generally stands for something impressive. Read past the break for more on the Lekker switch, as well as other things that might interest you.

While at Computex we made sure to visit Gamdias and let's just say they had quite the diverse lineup on display. Starting with peripherals the company had the HEBE P1A headset on hand. Sporting RGB lighting like the majority of products on display it did have some impressive specifications. Starting with the drivers, Gamdias went big cramming 53mm units into the headset with a noise canceling system. Taking things a step further on the sound front the HEBE P1A also offers simulated 7.1 surround sound. For comfort and ease of use, it has oversized earcups along with a flexible unidirectional microphone. Meanwhile, impedance is quite low with it being rated at 32 Ohm meaning it won't need an amp to get the most out of it.

Sharkoon appeared quite ready to take a bite out of the competition at Computex 2019. They came to the show with a full assortment of cases, keyboards, mice, gaming chairs and even a mini USB DAC for gamers which was quite nice to see as it was unexpected and unique coming from Sharkoon. Dubbed the Gaming DAC Pro S, it packs a powerful high-resolution gaming DAC with TRRS microphone input. It can also act as a USB soundcard with headphone Amp for an immersive crystal clear audio experience. It is worth noting that it is compatible with Android on top of the Windows and macOS.

Ducky Channel is one of the oldest mechanical keyboard OEMs and whitebox manufacturers in Taiwan, and brought a vast selection of new mechanical keyboards to Computex 2019, with a focus on space-saving TKL (tenkeyless) and sub-TKL form-factors without compromising on the size of the keycaps. A running design theme at the Ducky booth has been a fusion of the Chinese Year of the Pig in a rendition by Formosan artists (indigenous people of the island of Taiwan). We begin our tour with the Shine, a lineup of full-size 108-key units that now come in the new Gunmetal Grey color option. These keyboards feature a zinc-alloy top, with PBT double-shot seamless keycaps, and another in hot-rod red+black color scheme. You can have the Shine in a number of Cherry MX switch options. The 2019 edition also comes with USB type-C cabling in addition to type-A.

VORTEXGEAR, or simply Vortex for convenience, is another keyboard company that goes the path of atypical form factors, similar to Mistel Keyboard whom the company often collaborates with. Vortex especially gained popularity with the enthusiast keyboard market thanks to their 60% form factor Poker keyboard lineup, with the current iteration being the Poker 3, or Pok3r. At Computex, Vortex showed off a low profile Pok3r using the relatively new Cherry MX Low Profile switches, and the Red RGB variant in particular.

The Pok3r Ultra Slim will come with different keycap options to choose from, with some colors seen in the images below. As with the standard Pok3r, it features near-complete programmability with onboard macro support and three layers to work with. The keyboard will use an anodized CNC-machined aluminium case, with a detachable USB Type-C cable as well. Expect pricing to be similar to the standard Pok3r when this comes out later this year. Delux may not be well known in the west, but they are looking to make a splash with a diverse product range which they had on display at Computex 2019. The company had quite a few keyboards to check out including partial gaming keyboards like the T6 which was designed with Fortnite in mind. It featured blue mechanical switches with RGB backlighting that comes with six effects. It also used a pluggable Type-C braided cable which was quite a bit different compared to more contemporary designs as well.

Another unique offering was the KM16 which has Bluetooth built in and through which supports mobile devices. It has adjustable height feet that use a rotating design delivering a more user customizable experience without having to flip the keyboard over to make said adjustments. When it comes to the keys themselves, they are fully programmable and feature N-key rollover.

HyperX at COMPUTEX 2019 announced they've developed new, in-house mechanical switches they'll start employing on their products. HyperX says these are rated for up to 80 million clicks, and that they're brighter than the competition's offerings due to their DIP design. The switches feature a 1.8 mm actuation point, and a short 3.8 mm travel.

G.Skill at COMPUTEX 2019 showcased its range of products for gamers. The KM360 is being hailed as a professional tenkeyless keyboard. Its top plate is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, and it sports Cherry MX mechanical switches (in the photos, Cherry MX Red), which are paired with ABS keycaps made via a double injection technique for improved feel and durability. There are the usual gaming features as well: Full N-Key Rollover and 100% anti-ghosting.

The MX350 is an optical gaming mouse sporting RGB lighting, as almost all of them do these days. A Pixart 3327 sensor with up to 6200 DPI resolution is the weapon of choice here, and the MX350 features six pre-programmed DPI stages that can be changed on-the-fly according to the gaming scenario you're facing. a 1 ms polling rate, dual side keys for action mapping, and two specific DPI up-down buttons are present.

While visiting with Tecware at Computex 2019, we caught a glimpse of their peripheral lineup, which included a new keyboard dubbed the Spectre PRO and three professional gaming mice dubbed the Impulse PRO, Vector PRO, and Torque PRO.

Starting with the keyboard, the Spectre PRO is a standard 104-key layout design that unlike its competitors comes with modular switch sockets for easy switch replacement with Tecware going so far as to include the tools for the job in the box. When it comes to the switches themselves, they are Outemu Red, Blue, and Brown switches. Other features include 11 multimedia keys and a volume adjustment knob. Macro recording and custom profiling are also built in as well. In terms of build quality, the Spectre PRO impressed when it comes to the keycaps as they were double-shot ABS and had a nice solid feel. Meanwhile the RGB lighting was quite well done too with support for per key customization along with 18 pre-set lighting modes and 11 under glow lighting modes. As with any gaming keyboard, N-key rollover is supported as well.

Bloody, sprung from A4Tech, took to COMPUTEX 2019 to showcase come of its upcoming products. The company didn't seem to be much ready to play the part, though; its new peripherals, part of their new X series, were still in the works and identified using stickers, with not a lot of detail being available for us press to share with you. However, you can at least look at the designs of those we can identify. The X series attempts to provide cleaner aesthetics relative to the more aggressively designed Bloody brand as a whole.

The Light Strike RGB Gaming Mouse, for one, carries on the company's legacy of having a dedicated fire button, which can likely be programmed for either burst fire or single-shot mode. There's 5000 DPI of resolution available, which is likely more than enough for most casual gamers (32000 DPI seems slightly exaggerated now, doesn't it?). The X65 keyboard features a modular design, with the number pad being removable for users that want to either save space or simply prefer to use their keyboards' top numbers.

AZIO at Computex 2019 showcased a number of new products, which showcase the company's Los Angeles-based design. AZIO's ALUMINUM line of products includes the Iris ALUMINUM K-Pad (which AZIO says is inspired in retro camera designs), the Iris ALUMINUM N-Pad, the RCM ALUMINUM mouse, and the RCPM mouse pad. The Iris K-Pad in particular has a multi-functional knob on the top right corner allowing as much as three actions per side, and is a complex feat of engineering to say the least. We look forward to checking out the new lineup in detail closer to launch.

Various materials, such as leather, are being used in these AZIO products, but the one star of the show has to be the usage of concrete in computer peripherals. I guess we'd have to actually touch these to see if the texture does work well in a daily environment, but it's interesting that this material has been used in a computer peripheral at all - and the effect does look interesting and pleasing to the eye. The RCM aluminium mouse looks like a very sleek unit, with the cold touch of aluminium greeting your first minutes of usage, and it does feature AZIO's design touches that have become the company's hallmark.
