Micron Launches 6550 ION 60TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD Series

Micron Technology, Inc., today announced it has begun qualification of the 6550 ION NVMe SSD with customers. The Micron 6550 ION is the world's fastest 60 TB data center SSD and the industry's first E3.S and PCIe Gen 5 60 TB SSD. It follows the success of the award-winning 6500 ION and is engineered to provide best-in-class performance, energy efficiency, endurance, security, and rack density for exascale data center deployments. The 6550 ION excels in high-capacity NVMe workloads such as networked AI data lakes, ingest, data preparation and check pointing, file and object storage, public cloud storage, analytic databases, and content delivery.

Giga Computing Releases First Workstation Motherboards to Support DDR5 and PCIe Gen5 Technologies

Corsair Accidentally Reveals MP700 PCIe 5.0 SSD, Running at 10 GB/s

Corsair has teased its fastest PCIe 5.0 SSD yet in an M.2 form factor. The company published some initial details about its upcoming product in a short video. However, the video has been taken private, indicating that the launch date may be at a later stage of the year. Thanks to Overclock3D, we saw its looks and got a slight peek at the product. SK hynix announced that its DRAM, and CXL solutions have been validated with the new AMD EPYC 9004 Series processors, which were unveiled during the company's "together we advance_data centers" event on November 10. The NUC 13 Extreme features unlocked 13th Gen Intel Core desktop processors and space for new triple-slot, 12-inch graphics cards to unleash even more performance for enthusiast gamers and content creators.
