EVGA has now made available a new SuperNOVA Series power supply, the 80 PLUS Platinum-rated SuperNOVA 1200 P2. This high-efficiency unit features a fully modular design, a high amperage single 12V rail, Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con solid state capacitors, a 140 mm Double Ball Bearing fan, and built-in Over Power/Under Power/Over Voltage/Short Circuit/Over Current protection.

All modern electrical and thermal protections are on offer. The unit is cooled by an 80 mm fan that can spin at speeds of up to 2,200 RPM. Scythe didn't announce pricing.

Corsair, the most awarded PC power supply brand in the world, today announced the availability of the much-anticipated AX1500i Digital ATX power supply from www.corsair.com. DeepCool launched the Quanta DQ-750W performance-segment modular power supply for gaming PC builds. The unit is partially modular, in that its 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors are fixed; while all other connectors are detachable. Among the other connectors are four 6+2 pin PCIe, eight SATA, three Molex, and one Berg. All cables, including the ATX and EPS ones, are flat, ribbon-type ones, with no color coding. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability details.

SilverStone has introduced the ST30SF, a 300 W power supply with a SFX form factor that's suited for small form factor PCs. The PSU measures 125 (W) x 63.5 (H) x 100 (D) mm and features a non-modular design, an efficiency of up to 85% (it's 80 PLUS Bronze certified), Active PFC, a single 12V rail, a single 80 mm fan and a MTBF of 100,000 hours.

The ST30SF is available in the US for $54.99 and is listed on pre-order in Europe for €47.89.
