The monitor features a pseudo-bezel free design, with the piano-black glass screen extending to the edges, with an brushed aluminium bottom accent. Under the hood is an AH-IPS LCD panel, with a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 178-degree viewing angles along both axes, 5 ms response time (GTG), and dynamic mega contrast ratio.

Japanese display maker iiyama announced the ProLite E1980SD line of 19-inch square (5:4) monitors for commercial PCs. The series includes two models based solely on body color, E1980SD-W1 (white) and E1980SD-B1 (Black).
