Thermaltake today introduced the SWAFAN 120 RGB and SWAFAN 140 RGB case fans optimized for used in liquid-cooling radiators. These fans come with easily-swappable impellers, and include two sets of them, each with a different airflow direction. You could just flip a case fan around to reverse its airflow direction, but that would expose the ugly reverse side of the fan hub with its regulatory markings and wiring sticking out, not to mention the pillars of the frame that hold the hub in place. This approach ensures you have just the impeller and its pretty RGB setup facing you. This is especially useful when you have the radiator sandwiched between two sets of fans in a push-pull configuration. The swappable nature of the impeller also makes it easy to clean these fans.

Both the SWAFAN 120 RGB and SWAFAN 140 RGB come in black and white color variants, and in packs of three fans that include an RGB controller. The fans feature hydraulic bearings rated for 40,000 hours. The fans each take in a 9-pin connection that resembles the USB 2.0 headers on the motherboard, which it uses for both power (main function) and RGB control. The included lighting controller is hence essentially a USB 2.0 hub that interfaces with the motherboard over a USB 2.0 header, and takes in a 4-pin Molex for additional power.

With the new PRO and the FOCUS (E23), XMG introduces two laptop series on a similar hardware basis: Both feature Intel's Core i9-13900HX and NVIDIA graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 4070. Soon, you'll no longer have to juggle between several bloated apps to control the RGB lighting of your various peripherals from different brands. Microsoft is set to standardize RGB and aesthetic lighting control within Windows 11. Released as a near-future update to the operating system, the new "Lighting" control seamlessly blends within the Personalization settings, within the Settings app of Windows 11. The Lighting section lists out all your hardware with controllable lighting, be it single-color or RGB; and lets you adjust their brightness, colors, and lighting presets. You can also coordinate their color and lighting patterns to match Windows and its other apps (for example, as ambient lighting). The standardized RGB control should significantly reduce the memory usage compared to having various brand apps running in the background; as well as CPU utilization. Currently, the new Lighting settings can be found in the Windows Insider build 25295.

A few days ago, PowerColor teased its upcoming flagship Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil graphics card. Today, we have the first images coming from CornerJack of Overclocking.com. According to his unboxing, we can see the new collaboration of EK and PowerColor to create the latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil graphics card with nickel-plated copper block based on Quantum Vector technology, addressable RGB illumination through the acrylic top, and a black backplate that is also presumably RGB illuminated to match the block as well. Powered by triple 8-pin connectors, the card features a BIOS switch that allows users to switch between OC BIOS and unleash BIOS modes, with the latter presumably having higher power limits.

At the 2023 International CES, Cooler Master showed off a unique all-in-one liquid closed-loop CPU cooler that features user-replaceable pump-block covers, the MasterLiquid Atmos. The top cover of the pump-block comes off, so you can replace it with something with a different shape or color. Examples of these covers include a frosty-white cover made of recycled plastic resin, or a tinted acrylic diffuser. Underneath is a white silicone diffuser for an ARGB lighting element. The lighting extends to the included Cooler Master Sickleflow ARGB fans.

The MasterLiquid Atmos model shown at CES was the ML360 Atmos, featuring a 360 mm x 120 mm radiator with a trio of Sickleflow ARGB fans. These fans come pre-installed on the radiator, to minimize packaging waste. The ML360 Atmos uses a dual-chamber pump-block, which features CM's Gen 2 ARGB lighting. The company didn't go into the technical details of the fan, but mentioned its top speed to be 2,400 RPM. The MasterLiquid Atmos series comes in two variants, 240 mm and 360 mm. Among the CPU socket types supported are LGA1700, LGA1200, AM5, and AM4.

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 series over the years has become synonymous with aftermarket CPU cooling, as possibly the most popular custom CPU cooler. The company modernized it over the years with new heatsink and fan technologies, and it's has undergone a major design- and tech overhaul with the new Hyper 212 Halo. It retains the conventional aluminium fin-stack (type-U) design, with four 6 mm-thick copper heatpipes making direct contact with the CPU at the base, conveying heat to an aluminium fin-stack heatsink that's been capped off with a die-cast aluminium top-plate. The fan turns at speeds ranging between 650 to 2,050 RPM, pushing up to 51.88 CFM of airflow at 2.89 mm H₂O static-pressure, and 27 dBA maximum noise output. As part of its design modernization, the Hyper 212 Halo gets support for the latest Sockets LGA1700 and AM5.

At the 2023 International CES, the lifestyle PC case brand HYTE shared its booth with its parent brand iBuyPower, a leading prebuilt gaming PC vendor, which showed off a premium mid-tower case under its own marquee rather than under HYTE. The new iBuyPower Trace 7 Mesh can be purchased as a standalone case, or you can buy prebuilt gaming desktops featuring it. The ATX mid-tower features a conventional horizontally-partitioned layout with an airy mesh front-panel. The case is tested to support many of the newer-generation graphics cards with 3+ slot thickness and 16-18 cm height. Among the fan-vents included with the case are three 120 mm along the front, with room for a 360 mm radiator, two 120 mm top exhausts that can hold onto a 240 mm radiator, and a 120 mm rear exhaust.

Among the two new gaming peripherals released by iBuyPower are the Chimera K7 gaming keyboard, and the Chimera M7 gaming mouse. The two will be part of the Chimera KM7 combo, which can be added to your iBuyPower build, or sold piecemeal. The Chimera K7 is a membrane-type gaming keyboard with 24 RGB lighting zones that can be controlled via the HYTE Nexus software; while the Chimera M7 is a palm grip-optimized pseudo-ambidextrous wired mouse with an RGB diffuser that makes up the top grip. The HYTE Nexus software is used for fine-tuning the performance and lighting of this mouse.
