Kingston today formally launched the FURY Renegade RGB Limited Edition DDR5 memory kits. These were shown at the company's Computex 2024 booth earlier this month. The module's design involves a two-tone die-cast metal shroud over the aluminium heat-spreaders, which are crowned by silicone diffusers for the RGB LEDs. The modules have a 19-preset lighting controller. You control the lighting using the first-party FURY CTRL software. Kingston says that the design of these modules are inspired by race cars.

The Kingston FURY Renegade RGB Limited Edition is available in only one density—48 GB (2x 24 GB kit), and in only one speed variant, DDR5-8000, with timings of CL36-48-48, and DRAM voltage of 1.45 V. The module also includes profiles for DDR5-7200 and DDR5-6400, with tighter timings. The modules pack an Intel XMP 3.0 SPD profile that enables the advertised speeds on Intel platforms. This new direct die LGA 1700 water block is built from scratch and made to squeeze every bit of performance out of the 14th-generation Intel Core CPUs. The top is seethrough glass-like acrylic, with rich D-RGB illumination behind the window, which is riddled with aluminium bars going over the top and two G1/4" extenders that interrupt the flow of the black-anodized aluminium bars. These G1/4" extenders are standard Torque micro extenders. They can be replaced by other products from the EK-Quantum Torque Micro series, be it extenders of different finish, HDP or HDC fittings.

At Computex 2024, Wizmax, a manufacturer of computer hardware such as cases, headphones, mice, etc., offered an interesting perspective on the inspiration for its computer cases. Diversifying from the regular sleek panels, Wizmax turned to more traditional art when designing its PC case lineup. GeIL booth was packed with all kinds of memories, anyone could find something for their taste, but our eyes gazed in hope at a few (yet) CAMM2 / LPCAMM2 memory samples. GeIL says that those are capable of supporting data transfer rates up to 8533 MT/s with up to 128 GB capacity. Just next to those a myriad of DDR5 with up to 8400 MT/s and RGB features were trying to catch attention. SilverStone today introduced the Air Slimmer 140, a slimline 140 mm case fan. The fan comes with a thickness of just 15.5 mm, compared to the 25 mm that's typical of 140 mm fans. This should come in handy if you choose a thicker radiator, or are building an SFF machine. The fan features a copper fluid dynamic bearing, although the company didn't specify endurance numbers. The 9-blade impeller features what SilverStone brands as Shark Force patterns, which improve noise characteristics.
