AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.1.2 Released

AMD released the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin drivers. Version 22.1.2 beta comes with optimization for "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction," and support for new graphics cards launching today, including the Radeon RX 6500 XT, RX 6400, RX 6500M, and RX 6300M. The only issue fixed with this release addresses longer-than-expected load times for "Borderlands 3" in DirectX 12 mode with Radeon Boost enabled, on certain RDNA2-series GPUs. Amazon Hires Top Rainbow Six Siege Developers to Lead New Montreal Games Studio

Amazon Games today announced it has opened a new game development studio in Montreal, Canada. The Montreal studio, which joins Amazon Games development studios in Seattle, Orange County, and San Diego, will focus on creating original AAA games. Amazon Games is actively hiring to build out the talented team, with a variety of roles opening.

The studio's founding members include industry veterans Luc Bouchard (head of production), Xavier Marquis (creative director), Alexandre Remy (head of product), and Romain Rimokh (content director), who most recently worked as the core team behind the tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege, which now has more than 70 million players since its launch. The studio's first project will be an online multiplayer title based on new IP.

Ubisoft Reveals 'Operation Para Bellum' for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Today, Ubisoft announced the full details for Operation Para Bellum, one of the largest content updates yet for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. Operation Para Bellum introduces two new defending operators, Alibi and Maestro, alongside an all-new map, Villa, set in the Italian countryside. Year Three Season Two also brings a breath of innovation, including a new intel gadget, operator speed adjustments, various other gameplay improvements, and the all new Pick & Ban setting - a feature that evolves the way players engage with multiplayer. Operation Par Bellum will be available in June 2018.

In Operation Para Bellum, two Italian G.I.S. Operators join Rainbow as the unit raids a luxurious Tuscan villa, Rainbow Six Siege's 20th map. The land belongs to the Vinciguerra, a dangerous crime family known for their smuggling activities. The house is their retreat, where they lead a lavish lifestyle and collect rare art pieces. Players will arrive at Villa during a key moment: Vinciguerras are burning documents and transporting their holdings before the big raid. But they've got wind of Operation Para Bellum and fled, leaving everything in disarray with vital information ready for the taking.

Ubisoft Announces New Editions for Year 3 of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Today, Ubisoft announced an Advanced Edition, a Gold Edition and a Complete Edition for Rainbow Six Siege to support the start of brand new content for Year 3. Players can purchase these editions starting February 13th, 2018 and can purchase the Starter Edition from now. Additionally, Rainbow Six Siege introduces the limited-time Outbreak Collection. Outbreak Collection Packs will be obtainable in-game during the Outbreak Event or in the new Advanced, Gold and Complete editions with no time limit.

Ubisoft Promises Another Year of New Content for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

After naming ENCE the champions of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Season 3 Pro League Final that took place in Sao Paulo from November 17th - 19th, Ubisoft announced Year 3 of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, continuing to bring exciting and thrilling challenges to its fans.

Year 3 will be structured into four Seasons including:
  • 8 new operators from the world's highly performing CTUs
  • 2 brand new maps set in Italy and Morocco
  • 1 existing map make over with a new level design and art direction

AMD Releases Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.7.1 Beta Drivers

AMD today released the latest version of Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition graphics drivers. Version 17.7.1 Beta adds support for new crypto-currency mining SKUs based on Radeon RX 460 and RX 470; and RX 550 and RX 560. It fixes a"Tekken 7" application crash seen on R9 380 graphics cards; and crashes noticed on "FFXIV" and "Little Nightmares" on Radeon 300-series SKUs. In addition, it addresses graphics corruption issues seen on "Rainbow Six Siege" when MSAA is enabled; borderless-fullscrreen incompatibility with FreeSync on some applications; and stuttering on some FreeSync setups running Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and World of Warcraft. AMD Radeon RX 580 Overclocking and Benchmarks Surface

Some photos, screenshots and benchmarks of what appears to be an XFX RX 580 graphics card are doing the rounds, courtesy of overclocker Lau Kin Lam, who shared them (alongside a three-hour log video) on his Facebook page. Apparently, this is a special, China-only edition of the card, which is a shame, considering the great-looking waterblock that is smiling for the camera. The fact that this card is using a reference board with one 8-pin power connector may prove relevant to its overclocking efforts (and those of other, non-reference boards that we've seen carry both the 8-pin and an extra 6-pin power connector.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Hits March 18th

Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for PC, PS3 and X360 will hit North American retailers on March 18th, with the publisher offering up special limited edition for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. Priced at $69.99, the limited edition of the Sin City shooter will pack a poker chip keychain and a video disc filled with strategy movies, interviews, and a peek at the upcoming Tom Clancy RTS EndWar. New Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Media and Details Released

Publisher Ubisoft has issued new screenshots and details of Ubisoft Montreal's Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, which was announced exactly one month ago. Compared to the first entry in Ubisoft Montreal's Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas series, the first-person tactical sequel will feature 11 new weapons, 13 new multiplayer maps, two new multiplayer modes, and the ability to play co-op at any time during the single-player campaign, though it was not specified if co-op will be offline-only. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is expected to arrive on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in March 2008.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Announced

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Although, Ubisoft slated two titles in the previous post, it's now balancing with the announcement of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, a sequel to the Sin City-based tactical shooter released in 2006. The game, which Ubisoft said is planned for "next-generation consoles and PC," is scheduled for release in March 2008 to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Rainbow Six gaming franchise. In an announcement today, Ubisoft didn't reveal much about the upcoming game but promised improved graphics, new gameplay features and new Vegas settings. The tactical solo campaign will return, and the sequel will build on its predecessor's popular multiplayer modes. Co-op and adversarial multiplayer will return, and Vegas 2 will provide "unprecedented interaction between the solo and multiplayer modes," Ubisoft said. "We are convinced that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will remain a pioneer in the highly competitive first person shooter genre, bringing more of what Rainbow Six fans love to the table.", he also added.

Rainbow Six: Vegas downloadable content now available on Xbox Live

Ubisoft has released a bunch of downloadable content for Rainbow Six: Vegas. For 800 Xbox Live points (roughly $10 USD), you can nab yourself two new gameplay modes and five new (three new and two re-done) multiplayer maps.

The new maps are:
  • Marshalling Yard
  • Roof
  • Doscala Restaurant
  • Border Town (redone)
  • Killhouse (redone)
The two new gameplay types are:
  • Assassination ("One team attempts to take out the other team's VIP during an escort mission")
  • Total Conquest ("King of the Multiple Hills").
