it better not have the crap things the original had...
(PC version only here, havent seen console)

*Excessive blurring. I hacked it off, and omg the game looks so much better.
*server reloads to change maps?!? wtf!
*no widescreen support!!! Patch 1.05 claimed to add it, but it didnt - only 720 and 1080 res.

The environment doesn't bother me when I consider for years that PC games had better environment graphics, and consoles had better shaped models of characters and skinning. The PC games just had higher resolution photo imaged textures slapped on the objects. To create extensive animation capable characters that have appropriate skinning and levels of texture to them, is a lot more difficult than with an environment, provided the environment is more static than the characters.

A lot of the environment goes unnoticed in quick action games.

Crazy 4 TPU!!!
If it is anything like the first Rainbow Six Vegas, then the Console version will be way better then the PC version. I love it for 360.:rockout:

Thats cause you can run Crysis. For most people the game looks ugly(Takes a beast of a PC). And i agree with you about COD4, it looks awesome and is very optimized. But Crysis still looks the best if you can run it(which you can since you have 2x 8800 GT in SLi)

I just hope gameplay does the kicks. since imo, you cant judge a good game by graphics itself

I have played most of the Tom Clancy RainBow 6 games and enjoyed the game play, the graphics weren't a big deal didn,t have time to pay the much attention. Looking forward to the next installment.

that was something sorely lacking in the original. After cod4, a game just feels half assed without that.

Also, why cant the infra goggles see outlines through wooden doors and such? up close, with a thin material you should be able to see through things like that.

G0d UbiSoft has really used the crap out of the Tom Clancy franchise. I remember playing the first one, and I still have it. Loved the game. I loved Raven Shield too. However, all of the new ones just seem liked they are pushed out of the development studio just to make a buck. In fact, the only Tom Clancy I can stand right now is Ghost Recon.

Well, actually bullets were already going through doors in RainBow6 Roguespear.. dunno why not through thin plywood though.

I loved the first one simply for the online play. I sunk so many hours into playing it on xbox live.

I don't care about the graphics as playing online / split screen they are dumbed down anyway.

Bring it on is all I can say.

I'm not excited. Look at GRAW1, GRAW 2, RB6 Lockdown, RB6 Vegas 1.

Ubi must think we're real suckers.
