No two people have the same sized hands, and everyone grips his or her mouse differently. When researching form factor preferences for ambidextrous mice, Razer's team of ergonomic scientists and engineers discovered three key factors in design: the length of the mouse, the back arch and the grip profile. With this in mind, the Razer Ouroboros is designed for precision gaming, with an adjustable palm rest capable of moving up to 0.9 in. (20 mm), suitable for people of varying hand sizes.

Apart from its main buttons and a scroll wheel, the mouse has six macro buttons that are symmetrically located. The thumb-rests on either sides of the mouse appear to be detachable, making the mouse ideal for claw grip. The mouse is pictured next to its detachable braided USB cable. More details are awaited.

It still retains its most important feature, a 12-button thumb grid built to deliver cataclysmic destruction on all enemies when you bind spells, items, and macros to the buttons for quick access.

"When we released the Razer Naga three years ago, we knew its twelve-button thumb grid was an amazing, revolutionary interface that was going to change the way gamers enjoy MMO action," said Robert 'RazerGuy' Krakoff, President, Razer USA. Razer Will Make a Naga MMO Variant for Lefties, If 10,000 People "Like" the Idea

Being a leftie can be hard if you're a gamer, and especially an MMO gamer, since all the good MMO mice are optimized for the rightie mainstream. Razer is making an attempt to address this, by offering to work on a Razer Naga MMO mouse variant, provided there's sufficient public interest in it (to make it a worthwhile venture for Razer, which is understandable). It put up a poster on its Facebook page, which called for lefties to "Like" the idea. If at least 10,000 Facebook members Like it, Razer will go ahead with it. Not all lefties craving a good MMO mouse might be aware of this campaign, so we in the press are doing our bit. It would be sweet if righties "lend a hand", too. Find the poster here, like it.

Their recent acquisition of the DOTA 2 squad EZ Style only further cemented their place in the MOBA community.

MiG will receive a direct invite to the upcoming televised League of Legends ProLeague, held in Korea. With the MiG gaming house in Seoul now up and running, MiG is more than ready to play a major role in the development of the Korean professional League of Legends scene.

"Isn't PC Gaming Dead?" Asks Roccat

It looks like Roccat Studios' marketing department has sought to bring up the topic of the future of PC gaming, something Razer did, before going on to launch a $2,800 gaming laptop. Alienware asked the same question, but in contrast to Razer, went on to launch a much more sensible product that actually seeks to do something about the ailing PC gaming industry (a nice, cheap gaming PC that woos the console crowd). Roccat is known neither for fancy overpriced laptops, or desktops, but is a sizable player in the gaming peripherals industry.

Roccat's latest marketing campaign revolves around the question "Isn't PC gaming dead?", a cleverly worded question that asks why PC gaming isn't dead already, instead of a more inquisitive "Is PC gaming dead?", or an exclamatory "PC gaming isn't dead!". Roccat is seeking answers to this burning question on a specially set-up microsite. Roccat's campaign isn't just market research, but also leading up to something, a product launch, perhaps. The question site goes on to state "soon we'll tell you what we think is the smartest way forward." By 'soon', they mean about 13 days from now. The shoutbox in the microsite is nested in a frame shaped like an iPhone. Could this mean something? A gamepad-dock for iPhone that enhances gaming? Time will tell if Roccat does a Razer or an Alienware.

Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headset Launch Delayed, Again

Market release of Razer's Tiamat 7.1 channel gaming headset has been delayed yet again. Originally slated for Q4 2011, Tiamat has been a troubled product launch for the otherwise consistent Razer. In December, Razer apologetically announced that they were facing development setbacks and had to delay market launch till end of January, 2012. Well, we're now at the fag-end of the month, with no Tiamat launch, yet. Instead what we got is another announcement by Razer, saying that the product launch is further delayed to some time in February, 2012.
