Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 and Dark Rock 4 CPU Coolers Pictured

At its new product launch suite along the sidelines of the 2018 International CES, Be Quiet showed off a large number of new products, beginning with the Dark Rock Pro 4, the company's new flagship CPU air cooler, and its second-fiddle, the Dark Rock 4. These are two entirely different coolers. While the Dark Rock Pro 4 is dual fin-stack aluminium fin tower cooler, the Dark Rock 4 is features a single but thick aluminium fin-stack. Seven 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes pass through the two fin-stacks int he Dark Rock Pro 4, which are ventilated by two fans in push-pull configuration, even as the cooler can hold up to three fans. The outside "push" fan is a 120 mm SilentWings 3, while the "pull" fan, nestled between the two fin stacks, is a larger 135 mm SilentWings fan. You can run the cooler without the outer 120 mm fan.

The Dark Rock Pro 4 is designed to handle thermal loads of up to 250W, which means it supports a variety of HEDT CPU socket types. Be Quiet hopes to launch this cooler some time in Q2-2018. The Dark Rock 4, on the other hand, features a more conventional single fin-stack tower design, with six 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes transporting heat through the fin-stack. The heatsink is venilated by a 135 mm SilentWings fan. The Dark Rock 4 can handle thermal loads of up to 200W, and it too will feature support for various HEDT CPU sockets. This cooler is slated for Q2-2018, too. Both models feature improvements to the fin design, including small dots that increase surface area, and a dark ceramic coating that improves heat dissipation.

Be Quiet! Unveils SilentWings 3 Case Fans

be quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany for ten consecutive years, introduces the new SilentWings 3. The third generation of this proven fan has been revised and now offers even higher performance than its predecessor. During development be quiet! also focused on a simplified, flexible installation. All these improvements make the SilentWings 3 the ideal choice for high-performance water and air-cooled systems.

be quiet! has invested much development time to create the latest version of the SilentWings fan. The goal was to improve the performance of the SilentWings 2 and to enable a wider range of uses. The seven revised and optimized fan blades create an excellent airflow. The funnel-shaped design of the rubberized frame allows greatly increased throughput. These improvements result in an extremely high static pressure, which makes the SilentWings 3 the perfect fan for radiators, heatsinks, and computer cases.

Be Quiet! Unveils Dark Base Pro 900 Chassis

Be Quiet! unveiled its latest full-tower chassis, the Dark Base Pro 900. Positioned a notch above the Dark Base 900, this case stands apart in featuring tempered glass windowed side-panels, a wireless charger for Qi standard smartphones, and freely positioning LED illumination. We're not sure if the case retains the motherboard tray reversibility feature of the Dark Base 900. The case features a dual-compartment layout, with a bottom compartment holding the PSU and drives; and the top compartment dedicated to the motherboard tray, with gobs of headroom for long graphics cards. The case supports 420 x 140 mm radiators, and includes three SilentWings 3 PWM fans.

Be Quiet! Extends Dark Rock Family with Top Flow Model

Be Quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany for nine consecutive years, extends its Dark Rock family with a powerful new model in Top Flow-format: the Dark Rock TF combines a sophisticated cooler design with the proven SilentWings technology to successfully cool demanding systems with compact form factors.

The new Dark Rock TF consists of two nickel-plated heat sinks that are interconnected by six performant heat pipes in 6-millimetre format. With this design, the Top Flow cooler can carry two SilentWings fans with a diameter of 135 millimetres and manages a TDP of up to 220 watts at a maximum of 26.7 decibels. The proven fans are decoupled from the heat sinks by rubberised inserts, which suppresses vibrations. For an absolute smooth fan operation, be quiet! uses a long-lasting fluid dynamic bearing and a silent 6-pole motor.

Be quiet! Introduces Dark Power Pro 11 in 850W, 1000W, and 1200W Variants

Be quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany for nine consecutive years, presents the new Dark Power Pro 11 series in the 850 to 1200 watt range. The latest generation of this high-end PSU now consistently reaches an efficiency of the 80 PLUS Platinum standard and delivers the highest performance for absolute best-in-class systems, with up to four graphics cards. The Dark Power series was improved thanks to the proven and virtually inaudible SilentWings 3 fans and technical optimizations. As a result, be quiet! offers once again, one of the most advanced power supplies with top technology.

All Dark Power Pro 11 models offer an efficiency of up to 94 percent and thus, carry the 80PLUS Platinum certificate. be quiet! achieved this by improving upon the already powerful "Full Bridge + LLC + SR + DC/DC" topology. For example, the PSU now includes two parallel main transformers, resulting in lower heat emission and a higher efficiency. On top of this, its lower design makes room for better ventilation on the side of the power supply. The capacity of the 4 output capacitors on the 12V-rails has been increased from 2,200 to 3,300 microfarads. With a total of 39 Solid Caps and a new PFC capacitor, any noise that could be induced by the extreme load charges that a graphics card might place on the power supply, is minimized.

Be quiet! Unveils Straight Power 10 PSUs

be quiet! the market leader for PC power supplies in Germany for eight successive years, today announced its brand new Straight Power 10 series. These new power supplies feature an extremely quiet and brand new 135 mm SilentWings 3 fan. Voltage stability has been improved by extending the PSU's topology with DC-to-DC. The overall wattage has been increased and a high-quality PFC capacitor has been installed to prevent high-frequency noise. Be Quiet! Announces Shadow Rock 2 CPU Cooler

Be Quiet! announced Shadow Rock 2 (model: BK013), its newest tower-type CPU Cooler based on the cubical fin-stack design mastered by the company. Measuring 147 x 122 x 160 mm (LxWxD, excluding fan), and weighing 1.12 kg, the Shadow Rock 2 heatsink design consists of a nickel-plated copper base, from which four 8 mm-thick copper heatpipes emerge, which conduct heat through a largely cubical aluminum stack of 51 aluminum fins. The pipes fan-out along two sides of the stack. The fins are somewhat square in shape with jagged edges that are curved inwards along the sides.

A 120 mm PWM fan is included in the package, which spins at speeds of up to 1,600 RPM, pushing up to 51 CFM of air. Shadow Rock 2 supports most modern CPU socket types, and can handle thermal loads as high as 180W. Among the CPU socket types supported, are LGA1150/LGA1155/LGA1156, LGA2011, LGA1366, LGA775, AM3+, AM3/AM2+/AM2, and FM2/FM1. Available now, Shadow Rock 2 is priced at 42.90€.
